I decided which swimsuit inspired me, but just couldn't figure out how to achieve it. Then, while once again cleaning my craft area, it came to me. Here's what happened.......
Here is the picture I thought about all night: http://www.athleta.com/shopping/prod...ProductID=4391
I came across my new mesh cb folder. It was perfect to make this background. I cb a piece of ww cs using the mesh folder. Then I colored in the orange spots with my copic marker, colored in the purple with a sharpie, then brayered over the whole piece with basic gray.
Cut it out and put it on a ATC card after I had sponged two sides with basic gray and two sides with purple twilight.
The really hard part was figuring out what image to use on front. I chose this cat painting, because it just seemed like this is something he might have done! lol So I stamped him and colored him with prismacolor pencils blending w/gamsol. I cut him out using abstract shapes from who knows where, but it kind of fit the whole scene. Sponged and doodled the edges and then popped it up on front.
Well, there you have it. Not sure about the colors, but that's what was in my inspiration piece.......TFL :0)

Wowee! You nailed the inspiration piece to a "T". What creativity to think up how to get those colors and patterns! Can't say i would have ever thought to do that but it packs a punch in the color dept!!! I do love your image... having 2 cats, I can fully identify. One has a particularly long tail and since I am a paint-a-holic, there have been numberous times when his tail has gone for a dip and then spread it around all nice and messy. He thinks he's helping... with cards too... whatever I'm doing he has to be right there! So... this image makes total sense to me!!! Love your card! You win for creativity!
