Here's a challenge with a special nod towards all our antipodean SCS friends "down under". The first European settlers landed in Sydney, Australia on 26th Jan, 1788, and to mark that, today is Australia Day.
Let's go down under with our WTUI challenge; feature something Australian on your cards - kangaroos, wombats, platypus, koalas, wattle, gum trees, emus...OR simply use something upside down if you don't have any suitable stamps ;-). Think owls hanging upside-down under a branch, umbrellas standing up on their ferrule. I'm glad we all got warm and toasty last week with Cathy's challenge, because I think we're going to stay warm today!
When you've paid your visit down under and joined the Australia Day celebrations, upload your card with the keyword WT620 and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people (and the challenge hostesses especially appreciate it) to find your card .
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
My thanks to our special guest of honour, Susie, for her all-Australian sample, and also to Lisa, Cathy, Toni, and Carla who made one for each option.
G'day Sabrina (I happen to know you understand fluent Australian thanks to your Aussie rels) thank you so much for inviting me to be a guest designer. A kangaroo nearly hit my car today....normally I would be a bit rattled, but I laughed thinking about your Aussie Day challenge.

Sabrina- wonderful challenge, thanks! I went with a kangaroo image, and since it's almost February, a Valentine's Day theme. Kept it simple with a textured wrap tie. Here's I Love Roo

Went with some woodland animals from Hero Arts- along with some sponging- sticking to mostly green and browns, with grey and black for details. Gum tree images are clip art, with some added sponging for my sky. Here's What's Up?

I was unable to upload last night and am having the same trouble tonight. Wish I knew more about what causes this sort of thing. I tried 6 times last night and kept typing all the details sure it would go through at some point! I tried three times tonight and it won't even go to the upload page now. So I give up again.

I have written to SCS 'Contact Us' a couple of times. She said to keep emptying your cache, and that they were working on it. As I told her it isn't just me but several others having this problem.
And now it isn't letting me leave comments anymore ... I love everyone's cards. Will try again later!!

Yes, Lydia and the tech team are aware of both the uploading problems and the database error messages people get intermittently. It's frustrating for them too! They are working on it.
