It's Sabrina here as your hostess this week - welcome to a new year of WTUI challenges. I have taken my inspiration for today's challenge from the old rhyme - "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue". You don't, of course, have to make a wedding card unless that's what you want to make , the wedding verse is simply the frame for the challenge, whic gives you a chance to use those new stamps, dies, tools or whatever, as well as dust off some old ones. You'll see below the options I am offering you for interpreting "borrowed".
New - as new as possible ;-). Old - as old as you like, bonus points the older it is. Borrowed - if you're lucky enough to live near someone you stamp with and borrow from them, great! But other ways of interpreting this are borrowing an idea or a layout - CASE a card from your Favourites, or use something you typically associate with someone, like Linda's beautiful scoring details, Susie's ink, spray and smoosh backgrounds, and borrow from them... I think that RAK images can also fall into this borrowed category, so if you wish to use images you've received from somebody feel free to run with that too. Blue - nothing to explain ;-). Anything blue, colouring, papers, embellishments...
When you've created your "something old, something new" card, upload it with the keyword WT617, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card .
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how: 1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
