Primas are paper flowers that are really popular right now on a lot of the gallery cards. You can get them online and at your local scrapbooking store. The link to Cindy's ebay store on the bottom of the first page of this thread will get you to a place you can purchase them. take a look at Jeanne's card too...there are lots on it!
Here is my first card for Flower Power...I love my prima flowers, so I definitely had to incorporate these in my card. I immediately thought of Nat. Beauty to make it with. I really love this set.
Didnt have any of the silk flowers but did have this paper rose I had been trying to think of a way to use. Thanks for these challenges. Amazing how much they help me to focus... and thats saying A LOT!!
Will probably give this to my MIL for Mothers Day: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I can't wait to do this! Can you believe until a few weeks ago I had never seen a Prima flower in person? My mother (an avid shopper) knows I like to stamp and scrapbook. She went to a store and bought two bottles of the Primas. Then she mails me some of them in a little box. I think ... oh, cute. I didn't know they were Primas, and she didn't know they were PRIMAS!
Can you believe it!? She won't let me have the bottle. I have to get some of my own if I want more.
I have used silk flowers from arrangements I've had. You know, you buy one for a holiday or something and have it for a few years...think you are going to throw it out? I've started plucking all the stuff off ANYTHING I can.
I have to attend a Board of Health meeting tonight. UGH! I will have to try this tomorrow. I just GOTTA.
Everyone's cards are great. I SO wish I could stay at home and stamp all day instead of work to support my family :(
Woo-hoo, thanks for the push I needed to finally finish this card, Julia -- Primas were the perfect finishing touch! This seems to be a favorite layout of mine lately, so sorry for using it again. Here's my Flowers! card, combined with a very old Color Challenge -- #43!
SCS is becoming a DANGEROUS place for me! I woke up this morning blissfully unaware that such a thing as primas existed and now I HAVE TO HAVE SOME! Thanks a lot ladies! LOL!
This is a great challenge! Here's my first one. I did this yesterday for SC69, but before bed last night I had decided it needed Primas. So now it fits this challenge too!
Here is my 2nd card. I was inspired by SU designer paper and it was calling me to use it for today's challenge. The little flower was on a pop dot...do not really remember where I got them, but they are cute.
I went to Michaels to look for flowers, and came home with stamps!!! I had to buy them though, 'cause besides the fact that they were only $1, the company's name is Katie & Co.!!! lol...
Love this challenge Julia cuz I get to use one of the cutest little polymer clay bees that Joni (jstarbright) sent me! She knows a lady who makes these polymer clay canes that have been reduced to a really small size but are so adorable. Almost hate to use them, but that's what they're for!!
