You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Today's challenge is an easy one, which I hope you will find fun. It's simply to use at least one button on your card.
Buttons can be real, paper, stamped, embossed....
In the interests of challenging yourself - why not try to do something a bit different to what you normally do!! I tried one of the tutorials below, which I'd never used before.
Actually - I tried both the ones that I've never used before; but evidently my shrink plastic is one that doesn't shrink evenly because I have a beautiful oval button (instead of a round one) waiting to be added to a card, so my sample is using the Pearlized Button tutorial.
If you use any of the above tutorials - remember we have a special gallery which all of them can be uploaded to, to provide more inspiration to other community members. Simply choose Technique Spotlight from the Main Gallery dropdown list, and then choose Paper Buttons from the sub-gallery dropdown.
After you've made your buttoned-up card and uploaded it, come and post a link here to make it easy for people to find and comment! Make sure to use the keyword WT471 when you are uploading.
Need help linking your card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Sabrina, thanks for a fun challenge - my cards may just have regular buttons on them, nothing too exciting, but I sure love using them!

Awesome challenge, I just love buttons. I have this cute stamp set from Paper Smooches that I just love using- Squeaky Clean- and I thought this was a good match for some button application. Used some sparkly trim to emphasize the iron. Here's Impressed

Sabrina- great challenge, thanks! I do love buttons. I thought I should get out my trusty button "go to" set- Button Buddies by SU. I added a sponged background, a lacy set of borders, and some coloring- and a handwritten sentiment. Here's Pig and Snail

I like the look of buttons but not the bulk, so I got MFT's button die not to long ago and used it here.
The pearlized button tutorial looks like fun, Sabrina. I don't have any Perfect Pearls or anything similar, but I try it with embossing powder and see how it comes out.
Love this challenge to use a button, not because I like to use buttons, but because it inspired me to finish a card that had been plaguing me! Thanks for nudging my creative juices with this challenge, Sabrina. Your theme and timing couldn't have been better!
I don't like it when you have an idea in your head, but then, your card comes out nothing like you thought it would. This is what I ended up with, but not what I envisioned. 3 red buttons . thanks for looking.
