Whoa!! What a great challenge. I've been totally into these challenges this week. For some reason, without even consulting the website, I figured today was the scrapbookers challenge day. Boy do I have to play catch up now. And it's nearly time for thekids to get off the bus, make dinner and be ready for the season premier of Survivor. Okay, I'll get one done!!! Even if it means we are eating pancakes for dinner!

Mmmmm....pancakes! That was always one of my favorite dinners as a kid. I wish I lived at your house tonight!!
I am loving everyone's creations here...really, truly beautiful, unique books that you would never find in a store and that I would love to receive as a gift. Great job ladies!!!!!!
My current prayer journal has a plastic soft-bound cover. Anyone have suggestions for covering that? Behind the cover (it's like the cloudy clear look) is pressed flower paper.
Could you attach a focal point in the center with eyelets?
Here is my attempt, pending approval. I can't thank DawnL enough for her simple directions. I will be making many more of these. Did this as a sample for an upcoming Newcomers Ladies Night Out workshop. Also, thanks for the awesome comments on my DD's composition book. She is so happy.
Here is my notepad. I was going to make one for my friend Camila but didn't think I'd have time until next week. This challenged pushed me to do it earlier! Hehe. I even got a matching pen made. My thoughts are that I should have put a dark blue mat under the chicken. Or at least DTP the edge in blue. What do you think?
Well I think I double cheated since I made this last week and it isn't a purchased item. I made it from scratch with cardboard pieces for the base. There are 2 more photos in my gallery of the inside and back cover. I named my address book "Coast to Coast Friends" since I made it to hold all the addys of the great friends I have made here on SCS:
 it took like 3 hrs to approve mine (no problem with that really)...:???: now it just got moved to a different category! lol... moved to scrapbooks or albums! guess it looked too big for a notebook? it's like 5x7 maybe... lol

I was so bummed! I stamped several of these with print pattern in craft ink, left them to dry while I showered, & when I got out of the shower, my DH called asking me to come in to work, ugh! I work part time on call, so that shot the rest of the day. I finally have had time to play, so here is my very first ever altered mini book.
