Better late than never I guess. I went to our local scrapbook store to pickup papers for this challenge because all my papers went to my son's friend's house- they had a falling out - and she hasn't returned them. Ah well. Live and learn. These are my entries for this challenge. They are okay. Not as I envisioned - but I have a REALLY hard time using sparkly things. I'm more a country girl at heart.

It's painful to break into my stash of special papers but alas, that's what I bought them for, "the" special occasion. This is the perfect paper for this card! So, as the song says, 'the first cut is the deepest'.

If you read the story you'll know why I had to cut into this, finally.

I am glad you had this challenge. Here is the first card I made for the challenge. Then I continued with this challenge and combined it with some of the other challenges- especially since I have drawers full of designer paper. Why do we horde that stuff?

I am so excited to post BEFORE I go to work!! This was so fun, I am not a paper "hoarder" - so I made my own. I always feel like I cheated when I use background paper, I so need to get over that. But I did use a small piece of su's summer picnic at the bottom of this - then made my own specialty paper for the top. Simple card, but it fits the bill. Hope you like it!! Here it is:
