I don't see where Stampin' Up! has any chalk inks...where would I find them? I'd love to play, but all I have is Stampin' Pastels. Is there any other alternative to Chalk Inks for this challenge?
Here's my card for the chalk ink challenge. I find I forget about these inks also, so this was a great reminder to get them out and use them! I love the coverage they give and the soft look. I think I reach for them too infrequently because I'm always matching up my SU cs and ink!
Here's my card for the challenge. It is simple by intention so as not to detract from the watercolor paper and chalk inks. Thanks for the fun challenge, Julia. Pastel Blooms
Thanks for a great challenge Beth and hope you feel better soon.
This was tons of fun cause not only did I get usu my new Hanna Stamps, but also my chalk inks, which I haven't used in a while. Anyway, thanks for looking and here's mine:
Thank you So much for having me dig these out and put them to paper.
I copied your idea of stamping on Vellum Julia and I absolutely LOVE the result. I can't believe these have been collecting dust in my cupboard for So long!!!!!
My chalk inks are much neglected now that they're not part of the catalogue anymore.
Do chalk inks have a shelf life? I was wondering because I have two icy blues (one that is part of the petal palette offered by SU! before and another cat's eye) and they both lost their pigment and turned a very pale shade of grey. My other colors seem to still be the right colors, but I'm now wondering if they need more frequent reinking or if they simply go bad after a while...
Nonetheless, I still managed to stamp a little somethin'-somethin':

What a fun challenge Julia! I happened to be at Hobby Lobby yesterday and they had all their ink pads including chalk inks on sale for 50% off, so I bought one in every colour lol!!! Here is what I came up with: WT138, SC148 Fabulous charcoal by stampinscotsgirl at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for a fun challenge and I will definetely be using these inks again!
