I really struggled to get my paint juicy enough to make rounder looking leaves but, even though the first one the colors are off and its a little thick I do like how both of mine turned out. Thanks Angie.
Here is mine! I mention in my description that I painted a wreath last year using the tutorial. I kind of like last year's leaves better. Last year's leaves are rounder. I also have a couple of booboo leaves in this year's wreath but I am happy that overall I have improved from last year!
This was really fun -- not too frustrating! I totally need more practice. I have a limited number of paint brushes and have one out of the three sizes used in the video. I think I made it work though. Here's my submission: Many Thanks Golden Wreath
I had high hopes of getting to this challenge early this morning but ended up crafting a sympathy card instead when a dear friend's wife passed away unexpectedly overnight . A real shock to me too as they had just talked with me the night before!
Here is my wreath card with will probably be an autumn birthday card:
Well! My first ever watercolor card! I want to thank the Watercolor Wednesday team for the challenges and great videos, and I want to heap praise and thanks on Linda aka Holstein for encouraging me to give this technique a try. It's not perfect by any means, but I am amazed at the results I got.
I didn't have the colors used in the video, didn't even have a #6 round brush (although one is on its way to me!), but I used what I had.
I'm going to be following these challenges much more closely and even play along when I think I'm up to the challenge!
