In all my scrapping I would have NEVER EVER got 'round to thinking of STAMPING on acrylic!!! Sister, you take the cake!!!!!!
Not sure if I have acrylic bits from the LSS, but I do have a transparancy from my college days....may punch/Cricut and stamp that if I find nothing else in the stash!
THANKS for the great idea......ooooh, and scrapping something NEW is fun, too!!!!
Thanks Kristen! I didn't think of it either until I saw it in that mag. I am going to do it more often b/c I think it is SO fun!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I am so excited! I got all my chores done and the first challenge done in time!
I don't have anything acrylic or any buttons so I missed out on that part of the challenge.

I have found that some companies produce a nicer acrylic than others. If the ink just won't stay, try lightly sanding it with a super fine grit sand paper (craft sandpaper, really gentle), that might help. Also, with most acrylics (and I learned this the frustrated way, too) need you to put a piece of fun foam or mouse pad under your paper, because there is no cushion on the acrylic and it needs a little 'give' to 'give' your paper the ink! If you buy CTMH you may have noticed a little foamy thing that comes in the envelopey package with your stamps....that's there for you to cushion your stamping, but my no one told me that so I threw out my first ones!

What about a clear cottage cheese type container?! You could punch an image out of the lid........ you wouldn't believe what my dear auntie uses in her albums!!!! So long as it doesn't touch the picture (if you worry about chemicals and such, which I don't generally since my friend-the-chemical-engineer said that all paper will last 100 years and is basically PH neutral, and that's longer than me anyway)....just think how long plastics take to decompose....it could work.....;)

Reason: meant punch, not stamp...
Well, my time is coming to a close for my challenge. I appreciate everyone who did my challenge. I hope you had a fun time.
You have until Feb. 8th to upload. I will pick 2 LO's for prizes that best fit within the parameters of the challenge, so check back to see if you won!
Happy Scrapping!

Well my acrylic stamp doesn't actually stick to the block lol so I stamped my image didn't turn out so I stamped it just on paper, then I cut apart the transparancy and just used the windows, so they look like glass. I used a house stamp. Oh I have used Close to My heart stamps and those are TONS better than what I have! I am a wood block gal!

Thanks for a great Challenge, Liz! I look forward to scrapping after soccer today! (Don't tell, but I was hoping the fields would freeze overnight and Momma could stay home to play VSBN!) ;-)

I think it is very nicely done! I have a few pages as well that I want to re-do when I have the time, so I know what you mean. Thanks for trying out my challenge!

Well I am 3 hours behind and 3 other challenges behind...yikes.
I love this challenge, just got to think on the 'new' part...
and go post a picture of the one challenge I have finished. ~ oh and its just come to me! I have some acrylic flowers and a first day in Kindergarten to scrap! Yeah!
I'm off, between baking cookies for a crew that are rounding up our buffalo this weekend and putting some lunch on the table for everyone...(and maybe getting a shower when the last batch of cookies are out of the oven) and popping in here to hear all your fun chatter...
I'll work on this...
how often are new challenges issued...yikes!

So glad you can play today! The challenges are posted every 2 hours, with breaks for lunch and dinner.
Can't wait to see your Kindergarten page

Arrow
No surprise that yours is GORGEOUS! I think the acrylic really is the perfect touch to your LO and I love everything about your work. Great job and I'm so glad you feel better so you can play along!

Woo hoo, Liz! I just finished last night's challenges. I don't have time to start this one as we are supposed to be at dinner in 55 minutes and I need to take another shower, do make up, dress... oh yeah, and get the girls dressed. Be back later tonight (hopefully without the migraine that is brewing right now). May have to make a run to HL to pick up some acrylic. Be back later.

Oh no! Get rid of that migrane! I get those a LOT, so I know how you feel! Can't wait to see what you create!
