This VSBN is all about revisiting and introducing the fabulous scrapbook challenges we have here on Splitcoast Stampers. As you join us during VSBN, you'll hopefully discover some great challenges from the past and join us for these challenges in the future!
Banners are a fun, festive way to embellish your scrapbook pages. For my challenge we are revisiting a variety challenge, SBVC140 - A Banner Day. So, let's see those banners! They can be big or small, use one set of banners or two or even more. Have fun!
Here is the gallery for this challenge: LoveVSBN03

1. To be considered for VSBN Recognition, ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Sunday, February 17, 2013.

It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your layout is seen by the host and all visitors.
Hey Michele! How are you? I just signed on a bit ago to upload the layout for the mini VSBN challenge and then remembered that this was going on...even had it on my calendar but the week's been a wild one! And now we are waiting for the snowstorm to hit but it looks like it might miss our area(which we should probably be grateful for )
I wanted to look up pictures this week to get ready for scrapping but I never got the chance!
Oh ladies, it is so hard for me to realize what you must be experiencing, talking about your weather concerns. I'm sitting here with my fan on me, it's been in the high 70's all day and the computer says it's down to 67 right now, but feels warmer in here. I refuse to turn the ac on. Wish you could spread some of that cool air down here!

Ok, I'm going to share our big news here! Emily auditioned last Saturday for her third college. They were not supposed to decide until after a second audition date which is tomorrow. She didn't have to audition twice, they just had two dates to choose from. Well...she got an email today that they were very impressed with her talent, technique and passion for dance and did an early acceptance! This school was actually at the bottom of her three but after being there last weekend and we got to watch a performance by the dance department, she loved it!

Hi Anavon and Lela and Patti. I'm pretty relieved that the storm seems to be missing us. Hubby did get the snow blower out of our shed and gassed up...check in case
Hi Joyce Ann...I would certainly trade places with you in a heart beat! I dislike cold weather immensely! The new building that my DH just moved his machine shop too is all cement block and with this very cold weather, it's a bear to heat so we keep it at 63 and even with it being kept low, it cost almost $400 this past month to heat! Me and Rufus get very cold in my office until we turn on the little ceramic heater for about an hour or so and THEN we get warm and toasty! I'll be doing some layouts I think with Rufus as the key player since I've got SO many pictures of him now. DGS has been quite the photographer when I'm not looking!

Wow...Wow!
Way to go Emily! I'm sure you are very proud & excited for her

LOL! I was just thinking as I was browsing through my picts how funny it is how many pictures I have of our dog (Bella). Now that my boys are off to college, she's the one I photo ... ALOT! hahaha!

I guess I'm going to have to get a dog. Of course, my DH wants to move and get a mini farm (5-10acres). I guess I'll take pics of the cows and chickens. LOL!

It's really funny to look through my camera card now at the photos I do take. I sure take alot more work ones. My workmates find it humorous that I show up now at all of our events/meetings with camera. I also photo more things "around", well, and Bella ... DH got her for me in September and she's laying on my lap now as I finish my page
Michele, a "mini-farm" will work good for photo moments, ROFL!

Oh I'm SOOO happy for your wonderful news Michele! How exciting for your daughter - I bet her little dancing feet haven't touched the ground yet.
Terry, I get sick to my stomach when I get too hot, if I'm cold I can always get warm, or so I think anyway. Being Florida born and bred you'd think I could handle the heat. I did enjoy my 8 years in Virginia Beach where we actually had a few cooler weeks, unlike here.

Well here she is but her scrapping skills are rusty...real rusty!!
Welcome back!
Well, good luck figuring it out again! I recently upgraded to PSE11 and boy, I know everything is still there but it's been a real chore trying to find it all! I'm trying to do this page and I wanted to use the clone tool but I just can't figure it out. If I had a mouse attached to my laptop it would probably be easier but I keep forgetting what keys I need to hold down all at the same time to make different functions work right...!
Had to make my banners, that took a little while, someone in a swap sent me some mini chipboard banner pieces, they were fun. Posted to my gallery. Boy, it had been awhile since I had posted anything there. We have lots of snow and it is windy and cold, it is perfect to "play" upstairs in my craft room.

I am loving all the pages with banners! Keep them coming! I have a very busy day today so won't be on here much if at all. I'm going to try and play tomorrow after church though.
Thanks for the congrats everyone! I have passed them on. And yes, Joyce Ann, she can't stop talking about it. It's funny because she also got the letter from the school she auditioned for in December and was not accepted there. It was orginally at the top of her list but she wasn't disappointed because of the ECU acceptance. I think it all worked out because that letter was supposed to have been here the first half of January but they had a delay in mailing them.
Michele, that's fantastic news, although farther away it sounds like it may have been the better fit. I think it always works out that way the one you aren't sure about usually ends up being the keeper.
