Where does the time go? For me, the years seem to fly by faster and faster with each passing one. It's a melancholy trip down memory lane to reflect on our childhood. Regardless of our background, we all have some happy childhood memories of carefree days, finding joy in the simple pleasures of an unhurried life.
My challenge to you two-fold:
1. Scrapbook a layout with a photo of yourself as an infant or toddler and a photo of yourself as an adult. In my layout, my writing looks back at the age of 19, on the verge of adulthood and the fear and anticipation of what's to come. Feel free to use the quote that is on my layout: If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older - Tom Stoppard. My layout is a 2 page spread, but feel free to modify yours to a one page is that's the format that you usually scrap in.
2. Adorn your layout with a floral embellishment that you've created yourself. You can use your Big Shot and dies, an accordion folded flower or one of those shabby chic flowers made with crumpling and tearing paper into a flower shape. The sky's the limit!
1. ALL VSBN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH.
2. You have 2 hours to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, AUG09VSBNE, when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen.

Love your challenge. Your sample are so inspiring. I went and printed pics today. I'm way behind but I'm really excited this challenge.

Great Challenge.... I think I am going to try it tomorrow though. Along with the Surprise KFC dinner we enjoyed, my DH picked up prescription and my new pills are kicking in and I think it best if I go to bed. C-ya all later!

I didn't use a baby picture, I used one of my when I was 11 and one from last year. I found these pictures and they fit perfect for this challenge. They are both taken while I was playing at the park! Playing the same place as a child and as an adult! TFL
This is a tough one. I don't have many baby pics of me, we had a fire when I was 6 and lost almost everything. I have only a few wallets, but will see if I can get one copied.

Oh that's a shame to lose all those photos in a fire! You can scan a smaller one and enlarge it. The quality might suffer a bit, but a lot of the old photos had a much lower quality that what we have today.
How is everyone doing tonight? I only have one done so far but have 2 others started.
About the same...I have pages in "progress" but I don't think any of them are "truly finished". I seem to be jumping around alot tonight but I'm working on this one right now. Still have to get to "A" that was earlier! ;)

I seem to be moving slower tonight. It's ok I'm enjoying my relaxing start. I have 2 completed A,B and C just needs journal strips. moving on.

Good heads up Trish...
I'm just checking back in on the details of the challenges after an evening out. I love this challenge (like all of them...I'm looking at doing an 8x8 book on just me and getting started significantly this weekend!) Not quite sure when I'm getting to the layouts but starting to pull together specific photos and ideas!
Patti, something you said made me think you were at the same park...making me think, what a great idea...I have moved back to my hometown after 21 years away...and should have lots of photos of literally, then and now...thanks for the idea[albeit in a mixed up way of mine]
Love your layouts I've seen so far...now off to tidy desk and look through some albums!

I'm used to weekends and holidays nursing is just that way! LOL I just keep telling myself retirement is just around the corner! See you in the morning! I may be able to get a couple done before 2pm when I leave.
