It’s totally a shameless show and a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s like watching a train wreck; you just can’t pull your eyes away from it. Have you seen Rock of Love? The famous, rock star Bret Michael’s (lead singer for Poison) is looking for love and there is a whole batch of groupies just waiting for their turn to go on a date with him. Each week there is elimination and one or two girls go home. He narrows his list down each week-giving the remaining girls a “backstage pass”. The last girl standing wins his love! It’s shameless, I tell ya, but man is it entertaining.
So the show is all about rock-n-roll (music), Love, and making it to the top of Bret’s list! Here’s the challenge, it’s an either/or, sort of challenge with one common theme-MUSIC! You have to incorporate music somewhere on your layout. I had some help with this challenge idea and the talented Maria (scrapsbym) created this sketch from the Rock of Love logo. So you can use the sketch below for your layout (don’t forget to add some music on your page, too) See Thumbnail for SKETCH OR
Your page has to have a LIST (i.e. top 5 or top 10 of something, things I love about you, 3 things I hate, list of music you listen to- just a list of anything you want to scrap. (Again, don’t’ forget to add a musical element).
Now, if you want to do both-use the sketch and incorporate a list on your page-that’s great too! You can be an over-achiever and maybe win the heart of all of us! BUT the common element has to be music!
Just for clarification, your page doesn’t have to be about music, you could simply use some music dp or a music stamp on your page (that’s what I did!). Here’ are a few samples to help you see how this can come together.

Oh that is great!! My house is kind of quiet now!! I washed the dog and so she is pooped and Ricky did some yard work this evening with me so I think he has settled down for the night too! Tiff just went out with some friends!!
thanks! it was all Maria! she rocked it out. I just finished my page about an hour ago. didn't take me long to make it, but it took me a long time to finally get down to my craft room to put it together, lol!

My difficulty was choosing photos for mine! I was looking for hours, Once I chose those, it went together really quickly!

I can see that maybe she has Boxer in her because of the Brindle coloring, but I just don't see the Lab part. Many people think she has Pit Bull in her, but she has the sweetest temperament!
I am so happy we have her! She brings such joy to our family!

here's my boomer at the lake. We can't keep him out of the water. This second one he is pretty hairy-we usually keep him really short for the summer. This was taken early fall of 09.

Boomer is awesome!! And certainly a true Lab since he loves the water so much!! How cute and such a perfect pet to take to the lake house!!
oMG! he drives us nuts there. He can't stand being away from us and it is almost imposssible to take the canoe or the boat out-he will follow us out. We usually have to tie him up (but he barks the whole time) or put him inside when we are on the water. We love him! As big as a PITA he is, I don't know what I'd do without him.

That cracks me up and reminds me of Tasha. Since I am home a lot, she doesn't do really well with separation! I got called in to work the other night and left her in her kennel. She cried so hard she woke up Tiffany on the other side of the house and she had to let her sleep in her bed!! She is spoiled!!

It was kind of quiet this afternoon too! It was so beautiful I couldn't blame people for wanting to be outside!! Plus I think we are used to the rapid fire chats when Unity has their Hip Hops going on! LOL!!
I see they shortened up the challenge times a bit. They use to be 2 hours but they're running about 1.5 hours. I just signed off, I was the previous challenge. My eyes are burning, too much computer today. I'll come play tomorrow. I was thinking about this challenge today because of the news BM is in the hospital. I never saw the reality show but he's on the Apprentice this year. I wasn't really familiar with him but he seems like a good guy...a bit on the hyper side...maybe I'll catch this show on reruns ;-)

I am so far behind on commenting on Hops and Galleries this week!! I hope I can get caught up and then stay caught up!! It makes it so much easier when I just do it right away!
