multi fold card--like the game we played as kids

I'm looking for the card that is made out of many folds. It's been recently created on some blogs but I just cant find a sample now that I want to try it.

Remember that game where you folded up a piece of paper, and you held it in two hands, with your finger tips...then the other player said a number and you moved your fingers that number of times, opening and closing the folded paper. Once you opened and closed the paper the correct number of times, you flipped open that corresponding part and read what you wrote under the flap?

I hope that makes sense. I've seen people make some wonderful cards using this as a basis for their card. If you've seen one and know where I can find it, or better yet, know of a tutorial, I'd love it if you'd post it here.

Below link is for a 6 x 6 napkin fold card. It may be what you are looking for. There are a couple of beautiful cards on Splitcoast using this technique, just put napkin fold in the search engine. Hope this helps

you start with a square and fold each of the corner tips into the middle.
You'll then have another square - turn it over and fold each of those corners into the middle again.
It'll all come flooding back when you do one

We called them "Cootie Catchers". I am embarrassed at some of the fortunes I wrote in mine. Time can be very forgiving. I eliminate the last fold step and call it a Peek-a-Boo and use it when I teach Prenatal Development in my Child Development classes. My students and I have a lot of fun with tht learning activity!
