I simply adore today's project and technique:
3D PUMPKIN PLACE CARD
Way back in the dark ages, when we all started out, most of us oldies bought all 12x12 paper. Because that's all there was. Oodles and oodles of it - because we LOVE beautiful paper. But cut into it? NEVER! So it stayed in our drawers and on our shelves....and then a new, amazing wonderful product was born - 6x6 paper!! And we had to have it ALL! And the 12x12 either gathered dust or was given away or sold......
I cannot part with paper. It is my big weakness. I have never given away or sold my 12x12. But all I want to use is my 6x6. The patterns are smaller and fit on cards better! You scrapbookers do a fabulous job using your 12x12!
Today's project, though, is the PERFECT place to show off your 12x12 paper. In Dina's video, she also gives tips on other sizes of pumpkins, so be sure to watch that as well as read Melissa's amazing
PICTURE TUTORIAL. The video is at the end.
There are all sorts of things you can use for the stems instead of spools: burlap, ribbon, wood cut outs, corrugated elements....whatever you come up with! It's such a fun and easy project for fall decor!
I will be uploading my project tomorrow, but take a look at the thumbnails of Melissa's and Dina's amazing samples for us!
