They're called "TIP IN's" and they are SO FUN to add to any project... greeting cards, tags, Bible Journaling, art journals... take your pick and LEAVE A TIP
My sweetest apologies for showing up late to the party, everyone. My family has moved into a new home and it's been quite the challenge to get everything in and organized... little bumps causing big damage. I looked at my calendar on Friday morning and thought, "YAY it's my turn to host the TLC! I will FINALLY get to be creative!!!" Then the refrigerator that was suppose to be delivered... then canceled and rescheduled for next week... was actually DELIVERED on Saturday... with BROKEN GLASS ALL THROUGHOUT THE INSIDE OF IT!!! So clearing boxes from the art studio and design table got shifted to the back burner while we (yes, we... not the delivery peeps or the fridge store... but WE) spent an hour or so vacuuming out the broken glass. Needless to say I was spent and then overwhelmed by boxes in the studio that I literally FORGOT WHAT DAY IT WAS! What a doob!!!
Alrighty then, now you know the rest of the story and this gal could really use a TIP... like a REAL TIP... preferably one that's colorful and comes in a glass with sugar or salt around the opening edge! HA!
But for now I will settle for your amazing "TIP IN's" and call it a day as I gallery gaze at your beautiful creations...
1. grab those fun Project Life cards or create your own 3" x 4" Tip In card.
2. attach it wherever you like using ONLY WASHI TAPE... tip it IN... tip it UP... leave a tip wherever you like and just have FUN!
HERE is my super quick and easy card (because NOW I get to transfer all of my food back into my fridge so I had to make it super simple!)
And be sure to add your sweet offerings to the TLC599 GALLERY.
Thanks for playing along! I hope you have a creative (and stress-free day!)
xoxo

Broken glass in the refrigerator, yikes!! You surely shouldn't have had to clean that up, I'd have wanted them to replace it. I hope no blood was shed during the process.
I think the challenge is to make a regular card and then add a smaller card that folds into the card and attached with the washi tape. It tips into the card. Am I right Kelly?
I drew copiously on stuff from my spares box to pull this together - an image which had the sentiment wrong, one where I'd messed up the sponging...and I even had some starry washi tape to pull the whole theme together. It even contains a tip for life ;-).
Okie dokie, gals... it's really super simple... there are SO many possibilities for TIP IN's... hoping this video will help... use your imagination and go wild

We have had problems from day ONE with purchasing this refrigerator... what a big stink! UGH... so glad it's over and we have food actually IN the house now (rolling eyes)!

Just wanted to be sure you saw the quick video I posted in the comments of this thread. I hope it helps you understand what a "Tip In" is and how it works ;)

Pretty much, M... but the TIP IN is just a piece of card stock (not a card itself) attached to the regular size A2 greeting card. It can be on the inside, taped to the outer edge (OR the seam of the card)... OR it can be on the front of the card, adhered directly in the center of the front (OR to the edge of the front of the card.) SO many possibilities...

and does the front sentiment have to be only attached with washi tape??
The focal point of the front of my card is adhered directly to the card stock. The Washi Tape on the front of my sample only acts as a decorative strip...
BUT... this piece could be a TIP IN if I wanted it to be by just letting the Washi Tape hold it to the card front. Then my recipient could flip it up and find a little hidden message of some kind.
Hope that helps you understand a bit better ;)

My card for the TLC challenge. I did not see the tutorial & comments so my 'tip in' card/piece is not attached to an edge. It is adhered in the middle inside of the card & tips up to reveal a 'tip'.
