TLC478 ~ Show Your Flower Power ~ {4/21/14}
April showers bring May flowers.... or so they say! We have had some really nice weather here in CO and I have seen some beautiful flowers. Speaking of flowers, the craft industry has some beautiful flowers you can purchase, but honestly, why purchase when you can use some leftover ribbon and make your own flowers . Good luck and I hope you enjoy the challenge. To get you started view the tell all video below!
Supplies: Ribbon, thread, needle.

I've never been any good at these types of flowers, as I am all thumbs... however, I'm pretty happy how it worked out this morning. I think the key is coffee. I should always drink more coffee

TLC478 Cocoa Girl
I followed Biggan's example and did a gathered ribbon flower with a brad center- worked much better for me! Thought this girl deserved a cool textured urban background- so I used some corrugated cardboard and a woodgrain embossing folder. Isn't she cute? Here's Cocoa Girl

I wished for a little more time today, but it didn't happen, so here is my card with a 'fast flower'.

Oh, Jenn, thanks for the great tutorial! I have LOTS of needles and a ton of ribbon, so I'm going to have fun trying this hopefully this week! Big hugs!

I missed out in this because we were away. I loved the way you made them so full, Jenn! I've made them from lace before, but not nearly so full and bunchy and cute. I had enormous fun making a little ribbon one today - when it will make it onto a card is another story since it was a scrap of ribbon from a wrapped gift, and SO not my usual colours but I just wanted to say thanks .
