Happy Almost August! Wow. Where has this summer gone?? I can't believe I will have students back in my classroom in two weeks!
Today's challenge is an EASY one, so I hope you all will play.
During CHA time, I sometimes get overwhelmed with everything NEW, and want everything to BE new. And new is good. But old is good too. There are so many "old" techniques that we just don't do much anymore, because maybe we think they aren't innovative, or creative, or we are tired of them and WANT something new and exciting.
My challenge to you today is to explore the FIRST FIFTY Technique Challenges (TLC1-50) and revive some of those "old" techniques that we thought were so cool once upon a time. They still are, you know!
Try to eliminate TLC22 (Dry Embossing) if possible, as everyone does that with embossing folders and dies!
*ETA: I am hearing that some of the links are no longer good. Have to check that out later after work, but you can do a search for the title of the technique under "Search This Forum" and also search in our fab SCS Resources section on the main homepage!
Please list which TLC you chose, and use both keywords.
Keyword for this challenge: TLC440
This is such a great idea for a challenge Judy! I'm hoping to find time to play along. Those techniques were such a valuable resource when I was starting out!

Sounds like fun. I never thought about looking back and working through the old technique challenges. (Note: I have found that Several of the links are no longer good so you may have to do some hunting to find the tutorials here.)
Cool, Judy! I'm going to wait and see if I can combine with any of the DTGD challenges later, but I have my eye on the baby-wipe as something I've never yet tried.
And gosh - I actually linked an upload to TLC49 with my CCEE card last week, LOL. What a weird coincidence.

Have to be honest, Judy, I went back this AM to see if my CAS card included any of the first 50 TLCs. It did. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. The "Polished Stone" which I used on my DTGD card was #56. So it goes. Thanks.
I got some new goodies and just had to use them!! I combined this TLC440 with one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges. The challenge that I chose to redo was masking TLC28.

It's been quite a while since I did any stamping and it felt good. I just had to participate in this fun challenge today, Judy, so I could use the crayon resist technique on my Summer Thanks card.
Thanks for a fun challenge, Judy! There were so many great techniques to choose from, but I had to choose one which I am still trying hard to master.....CAS!!!!
