TLC412 ~ Let the Paper on the Inside Show ~ (1/14/13)
Hello everyone!! It's my turn to host this weeks Technique Lover's Challenge and my challenge to you is to trim the front of your card tolet the paper on the inside show. This will give us a chance to decorate the inside of our cards which is something that I rarely do...mainly because I am just tooo lazy...LOL!!!
Here are the deets: 1. Fold your card base in half and then cut an inch or so off the front.edge. 2. Decorate the front withoutusing designer paperas a background. 3. Use designer paper on the inside so when the card is closed, it shows. 4. If you want, decorate the inside or add a sentiment....what ever works for you.

Joan, I seldom layer anything inside my cards...partly because I want to reduce the weight for mailing and partly because I'm lazy - lol! Here's MY CARD.

YAY!!!! Not sure why but this is something I've recently STOPPED doing... of course I've had the ones that won't close as I've added TOO many layers, but, MAN THEY LOOKED GOOD! ;)
I must have dreamed about this technique because, when I woke up this morning, I had my whole card in my head (is that a sign of addiction?). Here it is:
For a family birthday card- I decided to have some holiday and Valentine's Day themes in my card- used a reverse cut heart, and Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots and Holly Ribbon EFs- the 2 pink layers are the inside of my card. Here's Purrfect Birthday Wishes

I enjoyed these two challenges.Used coordinating paper inside and out (Hope that isn't against the rules for TLC412). Also cut out three of the flowers, used glitter glue for highlights, then layered them onto the flowers on the front to give the card added dimension.
The paper had colors similar to the CC409 challenge (Rose Red, Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder). Each flower was outlined with more of a grayish blue than the wisteria.

Joan, the description of these technique challenges are spot on! Thank you for the description instead of using the technique name. I think you're doing it absolutely correct!
