I pulled out my Melon Mambo pad and a sheet of paper tonight to make a quick card. Stamped in melon mambo and thought I had pulled out a red pad by mistake. My ink doesn't match the paper at all. Not even close. I swear it used to! Has anyone else had this issue?
Try using the back of a plastic spoon to smoosh the ink around. Sometimes, especially in red-based inks, the color components separate with age. If that doesn't work, you might need to rinse the ink mostly out of your ink pad and re-ink. Hope you can make it work!
My Daffodil Delight pad is more orange than yellow.........I asked my demo about it and she said Stampin' Up is "aware of the problem" and is working on it..........not sure what that means.

Ok, well, does that mean we get replacement pads????? I'm getting a little tired of hearing that companies are aware of problems..... I'm aware you have my money and your product isn't what you said it would be.
I can't offer any help because I've never felt that Melon Mambo ink matched the paper. The ink is red and the paper is pinkish. Sorry....
I thought it used to match better -- maybe I'm thinking of the marker?
But that's exactly the issue -- much redder than the paper. Thanks for your reply - at least it's not just me!

Thank you!! I have never heard that in all my years in the stamping world. It's worth a try!

Sorry -- I might be a little cranky today ;-)
I don't think you are being cranky at all. I find it quite refreshing what you stated here.......I guess a person has to ask their demo for a replacement if there is a problem that the company is aware of?
I don't think that was being cranky either.......I liked it......a lot. I'll have to ask my demo if she knows what the policy will be when they "fix" the problem........I don't think getting another pad with the same problem will make me very happy.........

I haven't noticed this but I'm going to compare my Melon Mambo ink and paper. I have the linen style still, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
I started wondering if my ink matches now and I get a re-inker will it be a different shade?

One of my first SU single purchase pads was an InColor-Riding Hood Red-in 2009. It got that gold sheen on it and separated, etc, I rinsed it, reinked it and it did the same thing again. I finally tossed it and the almost empty reinker when the color retired from the main color line in 2013. Never had problems with the newer foam pads of Real Red or Cherry Cobbler. Those are the only reds I've had for years!
I also don't worry about the card stock being a perfect match, close is good enough for me.
