Storing 120 pencils
I'd like to keep my prismacolor pencils on my desktop and handy and not in their case. If anyone else does this...what do you have them in? Do you have them divided by colors? I've been looking at the Copic Marker clear case for 72 markers....does anyone know if these have dividers in them?

All of my pens, markers and prisma pencils are in these clear cubes with dividers in them that i got a Office Depot, I have 3 of them full!
Yes, My SU markers and matching Prisma pencils are divided by color families!

Not sure about your last question but just wanted to say that I store my Prisma 120 pencils in a spin caddy (similar to Pampered Chef). I divided them into color groups...love having them on my desktop with such easy access.

I had my husband make a box sort of like a silverware tote with eight holes in it. I sort by neutrals, yellow/orange, red/ink/purple, brown/tan, greens, blues and I keep my stumps in one and blending pens in another.
Works great for me and it sits on my desktop.

I keep mine in a pencil cup. I would store my markers in a turnabout though...they need to lay flat to keep from drying out. I love my turnabout!!

I'm confused. How do the markers stay flat in the turnabout? Don't they have to stand up to fit in the little sections?

I have my random markers laying on their sides in square-side mason jars on desktop.
"Atlas brand" recycled from either spaghetti sauce or fruit, forget which. The Dole grapefruit is also packaged in a square side jar.
Need to start a new jar for the Copics since I've been hit by the virus. ;)

Dollar store little vases or glass containers. Someone here used a wine rack with cups that was gorgeous.

I couldn't deal with my pencils not being organized, so I bought a pencil case from Dick Blick that holds all 120 and nubs, etc.

Here is the picture of the Dick Blick case. I have the 120 one and another 24 one for the extra pencils I've gotten. I travel and color a lot in the car so it was a natural to have this case. I just pull out the pencils for my project and place them in a small upright container and replace them in the case when I'm done. They are always ready to go on the road with me. The case protects them very well. Best investment I've made!

I keep mine in a couple of old empty candle jars. They look so pretty. I separated warmer colors (reds/ oranges/ yellows/ browns) etc into one and (blues/ greens/ purples/ greys) into the other. All 132 are in these two jars.

I have the clear cases that Copic sells for their markers. I have the cases that hold 36 markers. It is easier for me to work with the markers in the smaller cases. They are lighter to lift and the way my desk is (dis)organized it is easier for me to have them side by side instead of using up the space of the 72 markers (if I'd place them end to end). Each marker fits in to it's own spot. Hope this helps.

This has finally sold me on the Pampered Chef turn-about. Anyone know where in Canada I can get one of these? eBay has them but shipping is crazy.

I store my pens/markers in X cubes I got from Office Max they are by Eldon I believe. Here is an old picture from my gallery that shows them:

I'm sure it would work for pencils as well. You can stand them up if you do not want them as I have them.

On the Lockhart Stamp Co. website you can see Karen's desk on the page where she lists her fave color pencils. Her pencils are all in drinking glasses sorted by color families, it appears to me! I need to look at her list of her favorite colors of pencils, too.

I have the same case that Stamps&Cars uses, and I LOVE it!! Even the little hand held sharpener that came with my set fits in the binding, so that can go with me too.

Another vote for the Global Classic leather pencil case from Dick Blick - my daughter gave it to me for Christmas and I LOVE IT! I organized mine following the ROYGBIV ditty learned in school waaaaaaaayyyyyyy back when.
And, thanks to Ann for the great idea of picking up another, smaller case to hold the neutrals and extras, since they keep adding new must-have colors each year.
