There are also little black tiny rubber 'bead bumpers'. They hold your beads in place, but are almost invisible. They might have them in your local craft store.
There are very small silver beads in a small zip-lok envelope in the Pretties kit. Slip this onto the pin, place where you want it (i.e., where you want the other beads to stay in place) and squeeze with pliers.
You can use crimp beads or tubes. Slip one on after your last bead (make sure the hole is not to large) ans squeeze it with plyers. You can get small packs of them at any craft store in gold, black or silver. It's probably similar to what she mentioned above.
What do you put on the end of the pin so the card recipient won't get stuck or scratched? Or is there a way of attaching the pin in order to take care of this?

I use earring backs that you can find in the beading dept. at any craft store. If you would like to see how I made mine check out this post from my blog.

More importantly - where do you get the hat pins? Besides the few you get in the kit from SU??
Thanks,
Pam
I got some corsage pins in the bridal dept. at Micheal's. I like them because they already have a pearl on the end and best of all I got them for $1.99.

I thought thats what they were for, but it didn't work.

Brenda,
I did buy corsage pins at Hobby Lobby today and they were $0.99 for 24 pins. I thought that was a very good deal.
