Default new ribbon storage for me!!

I bought some canisters that look EXACTLY like this at Walmart for the purpose of storing my ribbon. Each ribbon is on a floss bobbin and I have canisters for red, pink, yellow/orange, brown/black, blue, green and purple. I also have 2 of these for my silk flowers - one for the pinks/reds and the other for blues/yellows.

I have a desk in my den where I do my scrapbooking and stamping. I put up some white Closet Made shelving units from Target on either side of my fireplace. The canisters are great because they are acrylic so I could display them on the top of my shelving units.

I am really excited about this as now my pretty ribbons are in view and not in those floss boxes in a crate under my desk.

I love those canisters!! Cute...plus I'm sure you got them for much cheaper!! I like the Container Store but they seem really expensive!! I store my ribbon in glass canisters also and I love being able to see my pretty ribbon!!

Nice! I use something similar but they are tall square shaped glass containers I got at Michaels.

I am so glad that others are finding this idea helpful. I am relatively new to these boards and am finding lots of helpful advice (even if the shear volume of material is overwhelming!). It's nice to be able to give back!
I really loved the look of the clear glass containers that I have seen others use, but glass just wouldn't work in my room for safety reasons.
Happy crafting!!!
