I found one at a local Michaels - the best part about it is you can use a 40-50% off coupon!!! Hope you find one!!!

They carry it at Michael's, but at least where I live, its very elusive. Checked at 6 Michael's yesterday with no luck.

I got mine at Michaels. I forgot my coupon so I paid full price which was $19.99. For under $20, it's been the neatest thing I've purchased yet.

Glad to know, I've been back and forth on whether I want one. I love my scor-pal, but would love to have more score points because I usually have to use a ruler to figure it out on the scor-pal.

I too have been back and forth to Mike's, with no luck. Never thought about a raincheck. Thanks for that thought.
I too have a Scorepal, and love it. But, I too need more definite score increments.
will keep checking back to get one.

I asked the manager at Michael's today and she said they are not able to do rainchecks on items that are NOT on sale. :( She also said that they are not on order. I think I will have to wait until the end of the month for them to have more online to purchase.

I have checked 3 different Michael's and none of them had one. When I asked, the employees seemed clueless. Does anyone know if this is an item that all Michael's stores stock?

I'm sooo sorry. It may just depend on the store/manager too. I hope you can find it. I can't wait to get mine...

I tried my local Michael's, and that peg has been empty for weeks. The manager said they are not on order. I also went to another Michael's 1 1/2 hours away, and that peg was empty, too! What's the deal? Is there anywhere to order this online?

After reading on SCS about getting a raincheck and having Michael's attach your coupon to it, I asked at my local M's about getting one for the MS SB. They wrote the raincheck for 50% off and told me I could keep my coupon to use for something else! I hope they get them in again...

Rhonda, I am so anxious to get it too. I hate constantly putting in and taking out the score blade on the cutter.

As for plastic score-boards there are two that I know of - the Martha Stewart Score Board and the Scor-pal.
They are a large piece of plastic, and they have grooves every so often at certain measurements. The MS Score Board has grooves every 1/8" and the Scor-Pal has grooves every half-inch with some 1/8" grooves. The Scor-Pal has a left, right and top "fence" which keeps the paper secure while you score. The MS one has a top and left fence but not a right fence.
You put your paper on the board, then using the scoring tool that is included with the scor-board, you run it down the paper in the groove. It creates a deep score on your paper.
I don't have the MS one, but do have the Scor-Pal. I thought it'd be a luxury item but I use it every single time I craft. It has made my life easier! I prefer the Scor-Pal, because even though it doesn't have as many grooves, it has that right fence which is a total must for me, and the scores are very nice and deep. It scores my thick 120lb cardstock very well, and I've yet to jump the track or tear my paper.

I forgot to add - there is also the Scor-It which is different. It has one raised edge down the middle. You place your paper with the metal edge where you want to score. Then you run the tool along the raised edge and it creates the score. The drawbacks are there is just the one raised part, so if you are doing multiple scores you need to move your paper each time. The advantage is that it is easy to do decorative scoring.

They didn't seem to know what's going on with this item at my Michael's in town. They just told me they get shipments in on Tuesdays, but I've checked for weeks. I'm just going to wait and try to get an order in from Ellen Hutson's store

The Scor-it also has a movable fence, so if you want to do multiple cards with multiple folds, you can do the first score on all cards, then move the fence to new location for additional folds. The scoring tool is attached to the platform with a chain and this bugged me somewhat so I stuck Velcro to the tool and to the top rim of the board so I have a place to store it when the board is not in use.

I am also in search of one! I have checked the 2 Mike's here in Maine and the manager told me yesterday that it looks like they might be discontinuing them. He checked several stores and no one has them and no one will be ordering them either. I am bummed as I really want to try this tool out!

My local Michael's store has a couple of them and I was going to pick one up this week. Now that I'm reading this thread, I'd better go and get one tomorrow. I'm planning on using my 40% off coupon and my gift card that I got for Christmas

Watching new tutorials convinced me that I do not want a scor pal b/c you have to move the paper over and think too much-for me that is. I am curious how MS scoring tool compares w/ the ultimate scoring companion. Anyone know? Running to Michaels w/ my coupon and my gift card is sounding very appealing. Want to try that cute card w/ a base that folds flat.

I've seen the MS Scoreboard at AC Moore stores as well. You might want to check them out if you're tired of waiting for Michaels to restock.
Good Luck to everyone who's still looking for one. I love mine but my Scorpal is not happy about sitting there not being used. ;)

She replied to my email super fast. It's $20 plus actual shipping. She said she doesn't inflate her postage cost. She couldn't quote me an actual shipping rate because her inventory wasn't in yet, so she had nothing to weigh. She's suppose to let me know as soon as her shipment comes in.
I had her put me on the reserve list. I figure paying full price plus shipping still works out cheaper for me in the long run. I have to drive 2 hours round trip to get to nearest Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I'd end up spending more on gas and wasted travel time with no guarantee of finding one.

The manager at my local Michael's gave me an update. She said that they have six on order, but they don't know when they will arrive. The next shipment they'll be receiving is on Tuesday, so I will call them Wednesday to see if they have it out on the floor.

I am wondering
if the reason they are so hard to find is because they are correcting the mistake with the envelope template with it. I e-mailed them about it and got a letter back saying they would forward it to the manufacturing division and when it was corrected they would get back to me. I still like and use mine, but it would make it a lot nicer if the scoring measurements were correct for the envelopes.

...what was the mistake...was it in the actual product or in the instructions...
