I saw some cards at my LSS using the embossing paste, and promptly bought some and tried it out at home with bad results. I couldn't get the paste smooth enough, and when I lifted off the template, it was a huge mess. I did get myself a little plastic palette knife and will try again.
I love it. It's very easy. There is a good tutorial here on SCS. Also Polly"s Pals has a good tutorual you can download. I bought some and it sat there looking at me. Took me a while to get my courage up. Between the two tutorials it wasn't hard. Adding color makes it very versatile. The clear can be used on any color.
I just made my first card with it this week. I found it very simple to use and got good results. I first embossed the image then daubed ink over the image. I "iced" it with translucent emb. paste. Very shiny and raised irl. If you want to see, here's the link:
you got any pics larleigh?
i love it, i got the gold one just cause its a hard colour to mix, and i got the normal one in white, and the translucent which seems just like the white one too me hmmmmm and then i ot the pearlecent one which is amazing too, just try it on white card stock as it is, add sum stickles carfully and its brilliant for for wedding stuff.
i will take sum pics i just need my camerea back grrrrr
Yep, errrmmmm heaps. I didn't realise how many cards I did make with the stencils and embossing paste. I used Alison Ellis glitter on most of them. Loved doing the stencils. Had a fabulous time.
The paper I used was suede in red, green, blue and black. Uh Oh, just had a look, no blue ones there. Mustn't have made them up yet. lol
The others are done on acetate.
Thanks for asking and looking.

I love to use embossing paste. I will try to upload some more pic's this weekend, but here is one I used paste on. It looks better IRL. Iris by hardhunter at Splitcoaststampers
Gail, I got the Lab Head stamp at a local store. I know quiet a few people have asked me about the stamp. It is a great stamp. If you are interested I can get you the contact info to the store. It always seems that just as I put the stores e-mail in the trash someone askes about the stamp. Like I said let me know & I will get it for you.
There is also Dimensional Paint by Heritage Handcrafts that comes in lots of pretty colors and is the same as embossing paste, I think. Frantic Stamper has it here. I haven't ever tried it but a friend of mine has and she says it works just the same.
