I swear by Kokuyo Tape 'n' Roller Plus but sadly, it is has been discontinued so now I'm on the hunt for a new permanent roll-type adhesive. I recently bought the new tape dispenser Bazzill came out with that is supposed to work on their paper. Pffftttt, that was a waste of $$$. Also purchased the brand, "MyStik". Eh, it works ok but not great. I haven't used anything by Duck brand in years, last time I used their brand my cards fell apart. Any suggestions to try?

I've tried all kinds of tape rollers and there was only one that actually worked - it was one I got at a local dollar store but unfortunately, they don't sell it anymore. I tried the Tombow (SU call is snail - Tombow rebranded) and that has to be one of the worst adhesives on the planet. I literally had a card fall apart after only two weeks with that stuff. I love the ATG and the replacement tape I get at Tape Depot. So far my stuff hasn't fallen apart. And its a lot less expensive than a lot of the other brands.
I use the 3M gold 1/4 inch ATG . It's more expensive than the red, which is NOT acid-free, but the bond of the gold is stronger. The least expensive I've found is at framingsupplies.com, around $4.80 a roll if you buy 12 rolls. Shipping is expensive because their default shipping is Priority, in a box. But I ask them to ship in an envelope, USPS First Class, which takes a couple of weeks but is way less expensive.
The price for this tape is so variable........I've seen it for over $9 a roll on craft sites.
If you are new to ATG tape, practice makes perfect and very worth the effort.

Reason: The product number is 908.
We are beginning to sound like a broken record, but yes... I'm an ATG gun & tape gal all the way. I also love Scor tape as well, but I use my ATG gun for all my cards.
I got my pink ATG gun online a couple of years ago (I forget where) for around $25.00. I also get my tape refills from www.framingsupplies.com, at least 12 at a time, which usually lasts me for several months to a year.
Once you get the hang of using the gun, which can be tricky for first few times using it, you will not want to use anything else.

ATG! I buy the refills from Framing Supplies because I had a big problem with the tape depot refills. You can also buy the refills with a coupon at Michael's.
I use my ATG the most. Followed by Tombow mono multi which is not a tape.
I'm with Gale. ATG for everything big enough to use it on. Then I use Tombow Mono Multi Liquid for anything that is too small to comfortably use the gun on.
PS if anyone needs to buy the ATG, here is a link to a really good deal on Amazon. Free shipping if you have Amazon Prime, and only $20.42 for the gun with 2 rolls of tape.
Many people love the ATG but some (like me) could not master using it. I found it unwieldy. My solution is the Xyron tape runner. Mine is the pink Teresa Collins version. I love it and want a 2nd one so I have different widths ready to use.
So, if possible borrow someone's ATG. I did this for several cards/projects at 3-4 crops in the course of a year, each time hoping I'd get the hang of it because it is very cost-effective.
I have carpal tunnel. Do you think using the ATG would be difficult for me? I can't open a pop bottle lid, can't handle much weight, can't write with a pen and pencil for more than a sentence.....
I'm thinking about switching but no one in my area uses an ATG that I can try out. Love to hear you opinion!
I only use the acid-free tape for my ATG as well. It holds like crazy, and love it! Found a box of 2 on Amazon through TCP Global Corp for $6.96, making it $3.48 a roll!!! Of course you can buy as many as you'd like........

I use my ATG at home but take Ad-tech (I get them at Hobby Lobby) snails to workshops. Those cards have held up for years. I also buy Elmer's snails at Wal-Mart and they are really ok. They hold up for quite some time. The price point on both of these are great IMHO.
Good Luck!
