Default Almost free glue gun holder

I thought I would share my "almost" free glue gun holder. It's made from stamping blocks, a clay tile, and glue. I've been using it for 3 months and it's working great. I say it's almost free because the tile cost 23 cents.

The wood it glued with hot glue but that won't work on the tile because the heat from the heat gun soften the glue. The tile is glued with E6000.

Very clever and creative - and inexpensive to boot!

Thanks. For some reason I just couldn't make myself buy one of the pre-made holders. Maybe because I really don't like using a glue gun so it didn't deserve a new toy

My homemade glue gun stand is an old thick glass ashtray and love it.

I like making my own items from what supplies I have in the house.
I like improvising to my DH chagrin. He's the type that buys everything. I'm like my mother, try first and if you don't succeed....... oh well.

I am demounting my wood stamps and so went into my waste basket to retrieve some blocks, made my new glue gun holder in minutes and love it. Thanks for the timing of this post as I love my new holder.

LOL the ONLY reason I had some blocks was because every now and then there is a set that I want in good ol' rubber and I hadn't tossed the blocks away.

I think this is a great idea! I have one suggestion...get a small silicone or craft mat (or cut one to size) and put it on the tile. This way, the hot glue won't stick when it drips. HTH! 🙂

Good idea but the glue doesn't stick that much to tile. I just run my hand across and the glue dots pop off. I think I have a mat that I accidently cut so I'll test it out.
