OH the best part, look on your color wheel for what it tells you to use with horrid orchid: Hansome Hunter, rose red, brilliant blue and compliment with yoyo yellow. I will dig my eyes out if I'm forced to make a card with those colors.
If you have and it worked i'd seriously love to see it. NOT to make fun of you, I'd like to be proven wrong.
I'm dying of laughter reading this thread... give me a bit, and I'll let you know what colours I hate!
I'm with the BB haters... but can see reasons to use the Glorious Green (as mentioned earlier- Unfroggetable!). And i like Orchid Opulence! I truly despise YoYo and Pixie Pink.
I just can't bring myself to say that I hate any of the SU cardstock colors, but... I don't think I've ever cut a piece of yo-yo yellow or bravo burgundy. I got both in the assorted packs. Thank goodness for background stamps, designer paper, and sponging to disguise, er, enhance our "least loved" colors!
I need to do more of the color challenges to make me learn to use colors I would never choose on my own.
Yeah, I cant say I hate any of the colors either. I definitely have a harder time using some colors: for some reason I cant seem to make anything work with Handsome Hunter or Bravo Burgundy. I also dont care much at all for Groovy Guava...it seems so washed out to me....I have not made anything spectacular with it. When I initially saw More mustard, I thought it was hideous, but I dont mind it so much now. I also thought River Rock was ugly initially, but it is one of my favorites now!
Somebody needs to do a poll for this then organize a swap using the winning "Loser" color! I can't believe how many of you dislike the bold bright colors. It is great that there are so many colors for us to like or not!! I would have to vote for pale plum, although I think God uses that color in some of His awesome sunsets!!
I have all the ink pads in EE and BB and the Pinks for Breast Cancer cards. I have spots in all the colors Classic and Craft. I just don't use the others. Don't hate any. Have some card stock [blues, usually, although I would say I like blue] that I pull out and think - what can I use this up with?
I thought I should have ALL the classic pads for work shops, but really don't feel the need. Interesting that so many of you don't like the primary colors.
I love the In Colors and have just finished two clubs that provided $300 a month for the last 7 months. I've be making all my cards and SAS's even for Christmas using this season's In Colors.

Sage Shadow is one of my favorites....It looks great with copper and black, sort of looks like verdigris (sp?) I've used it in Asian or Egyptian type cards, but of course there isn't many of those stamps anymore....
And....it was in the Wintergreen DSP,
Glorious green is my least used.
Okay, I have to say I haven't used many of my bold brights - but I'm sure that some day I will, as I actully like bright colurs...
Bravo Burgany is my most hated , seemingly useless colour,
Followed by Elegant Eggplant.
Yes we should really have a hated colour challenge as someone suggested above and see if we can put together some really ugly colours and see what happens. Some one should PM Emily and let her know of this wonderful thread!!
Hey SleepyinSeattle-love that challenge! I think we can make the next challenge to be the worlds ungliest card. I bet I could win! This whole thread is making me laugh out loud!
By the way, where in Bellevue are you? I am up on Cougar Mt.
Wouldn't that be a fun challenge??? The world's ugliest card??? Not just your most hated colours, but also a stamp or two that you can't stand... Who wants to run that challenge??? Wouldn't that be a fun fun gallery to look in on??? And, I'll be someone's ugliest card would be someones idea of a lovely card!!! Fun idea! I like it!
Ok, all you Blush Blossom haters:p I too didn't really like that color but I have found a new love for it when it is paired with Groovy Guava and Really Rust. See in my sample below.
Oops I meant pink passion.....blech.........how do you use fluorescent pink anyway, reminds me of pink poster board!
I like it with Brocade Blue. And Pixie Pink looks great with Gable Green. Of course these are my opinions but it's the color combo I use most often on cards for girls under 13 y.o.
I only have scraps of Glorious Green (never ordered a full pack or anything else in that color), same with YoYo Yellow, Only Orange and Orchid Opulence. I have very little of Taken with Teal but think I might like it better as an ink than as a cardstock.
Usually I use Dynamic Duos (from the color coach) plus 1-2 other colors. I love all the duos but my faves are the ones with green, yellow or purple.
this thread is cracking me up! I like pretty much all the colors for something or another. And it's not that I'm not opinionated, believe me! I guess I just like different things in different seasons. But, if I had to pick... Bordering Blue and Blush Blossom. They seem kinda washed out to me.
There are colors I do not like on their own... only orange, really rust, glorious green.... but I have discovered color combos that I actually like them all in. Go figure!
This is so fun to read all of the responses.
My least favorite colors of cardstock are Glorious Green & Summer Sun. I never seem to be able to create anything I like using Pixie Pink.
And that was only because I was messing around with Pearl Ex and the MM happened to work with it. I've still got 23.5 sheets to use almost 3 years later!!! BLAH!!!
Also, Cameo Coral. I don't think I've ever used that one!
If you don't care for a particular color, why not alter it?
Age it with a whitewash of gesso, or one of the Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads? Spray it with walnut spray, chalk it, STAMP it, sand it.
To whitewash with gesso, wet a paint brush and dip into the gesso. Glob it on, then smooth it out. Let it get to the almost dry stage, then carefully rub your thumb over the surface to remove the top layer--like peeled paint.
Glue scrap tissue paper over it. Let dry, stamp. For an older look, wrinkle the paper first. Layer the tissue, with stamped images beneath the layers.
Just a few ideas you might like to try.
Returning you now to your regularly scheduled comedy thread.

Glorious (ha) Green and Marvelous (ewww) Magenta. I can't make them work. I truly wish they would dump them, they are just sooooo last year (well, they were 'so last year' several years ago)!!!

Marvelous Magenta has been gone for several years.

Hi neighbor!

Send all of the marvelous magenta and orchid to me! (((Seriously...))) I ADORE those colors!
The old mint color could make one gag, though. Back in high school I had more mint clothes than should be legal. My mom actually thought it looked good on me! BLECH!

I love your card! I haven't used any of my Groovy Guava paper yet -- now I know what to pair it with, thanks!
I don't care for or use any of the bright yellows or oranges, yuk. I bought several of the current IC combo paper packs and have given all my Groovy Guave away, do not like that color.
Years ago I bought an entire roll of Almost Amethyst and I still have the roll, it never inspired me, lol.

Excellent advice RS- i just might have to try the lighter fluid and a match technique!
I can't stand most of the Bold Brights---glorious green, yo-yo yellow to name a few, but my kids know that when they need paper for a project they have to check with me to see which colors i am willing to let them use for a school thing and that is when they get the green and such!!!
I think I like all of them. Amethyst, G Green, and YYellow are so hard to use. (on my own,w/o casing) Also, I struggled with Cranberry Crisp and Vintage Violet. I liked them but I had such a hard time working with them.
Blush Blossom . . . can't stand it. I'm still on the original package I bought in 2002 if that tells ya anything!
wow! I use that stuff like crazy!!
For me, it's Taken with Teal. WTH? I can't use it to save my life.
I mistakenly ordered a pack of green galore - the one that is really bright! I didn't know what to do with it. So, I used it for little girl cards at a SAS and everyone loved it. Thank goodness!! It's almost all gone now....

I don't really hate any of the current colors. I do have a hard time using Sage Shadow, Taken with Teal, and Orchid Opulence.
I LOVE Summer Sun, More Mustard, Mint Melody (made sure I stocked up on this before it retired), and Brocade Blue (though not used together, just as base colors.) It seems that these are my go-to colors when I start thinking of a card.
