Crop-a-dile (don't use it), Cricut (rarely use it), Scor Pal (bought MS board and like that one because of the 1/8" scores). That's what I can think of for now but if I really thought about it.....
Just the opposite for me... I prefer my ScorPal over Martha's score board. While I like MS 1/8" spacing the groves are not deep enough and I keep scoring off the mark. It just sits there on the shelf--think it's going on Ebay soon

1) The Slice. I love the idea but have never been able to get it to work properly after many tries (it cuts maybe 2 out of every 6 attempts) and it's a horrible paper waster.
2) The Crop A Dile. Despite following instructions, tutorials, etc. it only sets a decent eyelet every now and then, everything else looks like jaws tried to open a coke can.
OK 'fess up What are you using to store your ribbons in?
Got these drawer dividers at Target. They stack on top of each other and you can get them in plastic or canvas. Plastic was cheaper. I love them. So glad I got that digital camera for times like these!
What to do with too much unused stamping stuff . . .
This past year my daughter and I spent 10 months at Mayo Clinic and lived at the Ronald McDonald House. There was a craft room, and I was able to loose myself in scrapbooking once in a while.
Ronald McDonald House is a Stampin Up charity. Find the Ronald McDonald House closest to you or send it to:
Ronald McDonald House
850 2nd Street Southwest
Rochester, MN 55902
If you ask for a receipt, you can even take it off your taxes. They take paper, stamps, inks, embellishments, etc. They also have a cricut if you have any extra carts/
I wish I had not gotten the Slice and for all of the reasons others have stated. It does not work at all now as I tried to change the blade and can't figure out how to "fix" it. I did not like the way it worked anyway.
We have a Ronald McDonal House in town, I will see if I can get the blade working properly then donate all of my unused supplies to them. Thanks for the information, I had never thought of them for donations of the crafting kind.
Thanks that is a great idea to donate unneeded supplies to the Ronald McDonald house. I would rather do that than nearly give them away at a garage sale.
It is interesting that so many people regret buying a Bind -it All. I had one thing that needed a spiral binding. Instead of buying a binding machine I took the project to Office Max and it cost about $2 to have it spiral bound.
I would have to say my Wizard. I bought it by mistake and well I thought that it was the Cinch not paying attention and well I don't emboss. Arghh brand new what do I do with it?

I am not familiar with the Wizard, but I believe it is like the Big Shot or Cuttlebug, so if I were you, I would get a couple of cuttlebug folders and try the embossing. You won't be sorry and you will wonder why you hadn't done it before!
Interesting discussion. I was going to ask for some sort of scoring board for Christmas. I thought the smaller Scor-Buddy would be me choice but I might have to do more research!
I don't have any one big ticket item that was a waste of money but I have loads of little things that have really added up: paper, embellishments, stickers, etc... Loads of stamps I love but have not had time to ink, etc.. I need to stop collecting and start using too!
SU Inks - got the entire set in each color way - about one month before they changed everything. I was NOT happy at all that my demo never said a word.
Ut! Oh! There are too many wonderful demos around to put up with one who would do this to you. I agree, the SU inkpads are The WORST to handle. Everytime I open one, I'm furious at how difficult it is. But their ink is The Best, I think. I just used their Craft Whisper White for the first time and a stamp I love, but have never gotten a crisp clean impression with, turned out soooooo perfect, I'm a Believer. However, I buy empty ink pads that aren't SU and use SU reinkers to fill them so I don't have to deal with the SU ink pads.
How about selling your ink pads and reinkers on the Forum here for that? I've noticed that SU products sell fairly fast because photos usually aren't needed and people who appreciate the SU quality know what they want.
SU craft ink pads. Got them all when they first came out and have only used a few of them. Then SU changed them, but considered the original style current - grrr. So I was stuck with them.
Just the opposite for me... I prefer my ScorPal over Martha's score board. While I like MS 1/8" spacing the groves are not deep enough and I keep scoring off the mark. It just sits there on the shelf--think it's going on Ebay soon
I have both too. I just had to have the Scor-Pal when I saw in my LSS and it was the metric board. How I wished I'd waited until they got the imperial one in. So I bought the MS board when I saw that. I too find it awkward to score with the MS but find that if you use an embossing tool instead of the tool that comes with it that works better.
I also regret buying so much parchment craft stuff as I don't make many cards that way now. I love the look of parchment cards but it takes too long to make cards compared to stamping or using my expression.

I would have to say, punches, I have so many. Between the Silhoutte my dh bought me for Mothers Day, and my nesties, I really don't use them anymore. But there they sit, looking pretty and taking up room. I do use them, because they are there and I do admit they are convenient. It's just that when I think of the money that I have spent on them. It is depressing.
BIA - I won it in a contest, hated it, sold it for $20 to my sister
StamPress - currently sitting in goodwill box, I couldn't even sell it at my garage sale
ScoreBoard - I do not regret buying it, I loved it, but I love my MS better
Crimper - if you have a crimper you don't use, dig it out and dust it off and try making crimped ribbon. I use 5/8 satin ribbon for the best effect. Cut a piece of cardstock that matches your ribbon size (5/8 wide) x length of ribbon plus 1/2"; coat the cardstock with tape and attach ribbon to center of cardstock; run it through your crimper. The ribbon looks wonderful - see here.

Thank you for the idea! My crimper just sits in a drawer because I thought it was so neat but then got bored. I'll try this!

I have a case of embossing powders and fun flock.. The stuff is just NOT my style and just knowing my style/the materials I lean towards, I will not use the stuff hardly at all in the future.
I have 50+ ribbons in little cropper hopper cases and I will most likely never use the ribbon again.. It's all different colours/patterned/skinny and I just don't like it any more.. That's a lot of $ down the tube..
I do not use my crop-a-dile a lot either, but when i need to punch a hole or set an eyelet, I use it, so I'm not getting rid of it! (remember the hammer and the setter?? That was LOUD!)
Cuttlebug alphabet set.. How much was that, $50 or $60?? I think I used it ONCE! I also have a bunch of CB dies that are kind of old/out-dated and those were a waste of money. I use my CB to emboss/nesties... that's it.
I also have a Bind-it-all and about 10 different colours/sizes of coils. That was a little excessive, but I find I have use for it every now and again so I keep it around...
I have a lot of other things that have gathered dust, but I am not much of a pack rat and I tend to get rid of things if I'm not using them so I am not currently overwhelmed by stuff I don't use..
Overwhelmed by stuff I DO use is a different story! ;)

I design for: Stampendous!, There She Goes, Technique Tuesday,
SRM Stickers and Deconstructed Sketches.
For me it would be my Wheel Press. Put any wheel in it --takes both big and small --and your ink cartridges and it makes a perfect wheel image. But --have kind of forgotten how to really use it --and also ---do not hardly ever, ever use my wheels!!
Oh, yes. Bought one on a stamping cruise and have NEVER used it.
For me it is storage stuff. I am always on a hunt for the perfect storage solutions for ribbons, embellishements, etc.... have tons of "containers" and "organizers" that aren't really what I need, and some aren't even getting used.
Same thing! I leaped before looking when I finally got my craft closet and bought containers that I thought would work then don't work now. Ha;)
I have a few things...fiskars shape cutters,colozzel (sp?)Those cutting system things.
my little sewing machine
all those decorative scissors I never used.
This is all I can think of for now.
What an interesting forum! I use Photo Boxes for my ribbons. I have about 12 boxes, so I can group by colors or styles. Get the kind with a metal label-holder on the end, so you can change your label as your grouping changes. They are cheap enough if you get them on sale at Michaels, etc.
For stamps and many other things I use several different styles of plastic little cabinets with drawers (fit under my tables). The ones with deeper, wider drawers hold hanging file folders for 8 x 11 papers. At Joann I found plastic bins made to hold 12 x 12 in hanging file folders that are included. Got several for $6.99, now they are about $19.
Gee, where do I even start? I look at all the stuff I have accumulated over the years and am shocked by how much I have and don't really use. From paper to tools, so much just sits here. I have a BIA and swear I am going to use it for myself someday (use it for DD's school projects every so often), I have boatloads of paper I love but never use, stamps that I don't remember buying, a Crop a Dile and a Big Bite that both collect dust...Yikes! The list could go on and on! Maybe I should take this as a hint I should slow down my collecting and speed up my creating!
Looking at all my accumulation, I see my purchases early in my stamping are what I don't use: Cheap paper packs from LSS, single stamps from LSS, gluing products I didn't like, alphabet stamp sets, Paper and stamps I have found out are not my style. I have a LARGE craft room FULL of stuff. So I challenged myself to use things I have never used. I have started with my Stampin Up stamp sets in alphabetical order. Then I will try all my clear stamp sets, etc.
Giving our Stuff to charities that will use them is fantastic. I also make cards to give to the military moms' group Blue Star Mothers. They send packages to soldiers overseas, and the cards are for soldiers to send home. How about making cards to give to hospitals or nursing homes, so they can give to patients/residents who don't get any encouragement!!
The little Cuttlebug embossing folders that came in a four-pack. Have some that aren't even out of the package. They sure are cute, But just can't seems to find a use for them.
Got these drawer dividers at Target. They stack on top of each other and you can get them in plastic or canvas. Plastic was cheaper. I love them. So glad I got that digital camera for times like these!
Kathy
MUST go to Target, what a great find!
Regrets: QuickCutz, tons of cutters that NEVER really did what I wanted. and I totally hear ya on the storage items. I literally have 4, 20 gallon bins full of stamps that were hardly used - or NOT used at all, and supplies. I also regret the 2 big crop boxes - like suitcases for your scraping stuff with wheels on the bottom - I BARELY used one and DIDN'T use the other, except to stick stuff on the shelves (it was the one that you put your papers in and then the shelves collapsed down into the suitcase and kept your papers fresh. REALLY??? How much paper was I going to carry around???? Admittedly, for someone that has limited space these would be great, but I have always been lucky to have a tiny space to call my own - when the kids aren't trying to take over, lol!
I agree with the lady earlier who mentioned the Keepsake crafts boards, I have a few, and so rarely use them, in fact some have never been used. To the ladies looking for scoring boards, there seems to be a new one about, the HOUGIE board. Has metric on one side and imperial on the other, I think at one eighth inch and half centimetre.I have the scoreperfect, and find it really good, but I like the idea of having so much range as this one has.I don't know if this company, The REALLY USEFUL BOX Co, are available in the US, but if they are, they are fantastic boxes for storing crafting stuff in. The range of sixes is unbelievable, from tiny ones barely bigger than matchboxes, to ones almost big enough to live in, lol.

Yes, these boxes are available at Staples! I have a few myself. I remember the day I came home with my first one. My dh says "what is that?" and I say "a really useful box!" He doesn't believe me until I show him the words on the front of the box! Yes, It's a really useful box for sure.
I like this idea .... and like you, I didn't realize that they offered a crafty area for guests.
Re the Really Useful Boxes, as they are available over there, around Christmas look out for the one they do for storing rolls of Xmas paper.I think its only on sale around this time of year, but as well as using it for storing excess Christmas wrapping, I have one I keep rolls of general gift wrap in, and a couple (or more) that I keep large sheets of craft paper/card rolls in, and others that I keep rolls of ribbon in.
SU craft ink pads. Got them all when they first came out and have only used a few of them. Then SU changed them, but considered the original style current - grrr. So I was stuck with them.
Me too....so much money and most of them are still sealed...when did they come out? 2003? 2004?
I have a few things...fiskars shape cutters,colozzel (sp?)Those cutting system things.
my little sewing machine
all those decorative scissors I never used.
This is all I can think of for now.
Argh me too! The coluzzle and the scissors. Don't know why I HAD to have the coluzzle and refill blades and all the templates I hate it! Sits in a box somewhere in the basement. Gave all the scissors to my daughter.
Just trying to make some people feel better about scissors. I bet you bought them when the cutting options were limited. I have a full set myself, inherited from my sister. She bought them when pretty much all there was on the market were those old McGill punches (she gave me a bunch of those too) and the deco edge scissors. I don't dare throw out either. Every once in a while, one of them comes in handy. And my 4 yo DD loves to play with them.
Now the Coluzzle, I do have one of those and probably ought to pitch it now that I have a Cuttlebug but at the time, there wasn't much out there for cutting and I didn't pay very much for it so I suppose it could be worse.
