Wide Grosgrain Fraying
I love the wide grosgrain but I hate that it frays, I have a pair of sissors that I only cut ribbon with and it still happens. I LOVE the look, please help!!

Try taking a lighter to the end just enough to slightly melt the edge, then flatten with fingers. I have not used this on SU! grosgrain but on other ribbon that frays, works pretty good. Just remember to not hold it to close or for to long. Hope this Helps!

there is a product called fray check that is used for this purpose. Goes on like liquid glue.

There are quite a few brands on the market. I have one of the alternate brands. They sell them in the sewing section for only a few $$.

I use Fray Check. I got mine at Joann.com for $2.80.

I wish I had a wood burning tool! I always use the lighter method. It only takes a few seconds and I keep the lighter with my ribbon supply.
