I LOVE them. I was making a card for the CAS challenge today, and decided to try the circle nestabilities that I bought. I had read that I could use them in the cuttlebug. It was either use the nesties or drag out the CM shape cutting system, which I didn't feel like doing, so I opened the nestabilites.
I LOVE how easy it was. Why did I wait so long to buy them, and then let them sit for so long before using them?!?!? Because I am a creature of habit. Well, I have a new habbit now:-D
Thanks to everyone who recommended nestabilities - I just know that these will soon be one of my favorie tools.
Kat, Welcome to a new addiction! LOL I'm not kidding. As you found out they are so easy to use......... nestabilities and embossing folders.......man I'm in trouble.... LOL I can't see your card yet as they are saying image waiting approval. But I will be back.
I like mine also. Sometimes , though, I dont' feel like getting it all out just to make one or two cards, so what I do is, I just take a day and cut out many colors of each of the dies I use most, and in the colors I used most, so that I can use them when I want. It makes life just a little easier sometimes! I also like to trade with others on occasion. It's a fun way to "test" out a die before you buy.
Kat I'm with you...I love them to, waited to buy them and then wait to use them. I have a cuttlebug and it took some time to figure out the 'sandwich' but someone post one I pull it off and it work!!
I am fortunate to have a friend who is able to order wholesale so I get mine at cost. I have nearly every set available and I have already place my order for the new stuff. They are awesome to work with...
blessings.
I finally got back and looked at your card. You did a very good job on it. I hope you have as much fun with your nestailities as the rest of us do. I got a chance to play with the oval set that I got from HSN the other day. I love the scallop edge and using the plain edge with it. LOL

I also love my Nesties. I think Spellbinders Nestabilities and Cuttlebug Embossing folders have re-energized the card making hobby.
I would not bother if I had to hand cut or punch all the shapes.
I just started purchasing nesties and Love them- I am up to 19 sets and plan on buying more soon- they have made die-cutting so much better. They are also so reasonable in price- I should have started getting these sooner. The pendant and basic shapes are my favorites.
You are making these "treasures" very tempting. Own a CB and am scared to dump a bunch of money into something that won't work right, unless you have a bunch of shims....just nervous.
Every bug is different but with mine that is over 3 years old I only have to use 2 pieces of lightweight cardstock to shim- it was that easy. I took 1 regular piece of light weight CS cut it in half and place that on top of my sandwich stack, also I only need a shim when embossing my Nesties not when I am cutting. My embossing is perfect and beatiful.
Embossing Nesties looks the best with Gina K Luxuary #120 CS.
I recently got some too for Christmas and love them! I was always trying to use punches but I couldn't get my trim to match up like on saw on here. I finally realized it was nestabilities. I am going to get the hearts next!
I am a total Nestie junkie. I have so many but I use them on 95% of the cards I make. How did I ever make cards before Nesties and Cuttlebug? I have several of the new one's on order. Love them all.

In my CB, I use the tan Wizard mat and 3 pieces of cardstock when I do embossing. So it goes: A plate, nestie, cardstock/paper, tan mat, 3 pieces of cardstock, two B plates. Of course I cut it first though using the A plate, C plate, nestie, cardstock/paper, B plate. The only time I had a problem was removing the Fleur De Lis pendent without tearing it. I came on here, asked and voila!!! Used wax paper as suggested and whoa baby!
I want all the new ones. Of course I need to get all the older ones that I don't have, but hey, I ain't Richie Rich's sister.

How do you do that? If it's not too much trouble, would you please include a picture?
Thanks so much,

Jennifer, Go HERE to see different entries in the Card Candy/Punch Art gallery. Most of the punch arts can be made using Nestabilities instead of punches - or you can combine punches and Nesties to get different things. Punch art is a lot of fun!
That makes perfect sense...I didn't know what was meant by punch art (I thought the shapes were being altered). I love doing that with my punches (my latest attempt was for a kangaroo). I also didn't know that SCS had a gallery for it (I have certain bloggers that specialize in it).

Do you mind sharing the blogs? I ADORE punch art and am always looking for new ideas. How did you make the Kangaroo?
