Hi,
Can anyone give me tips to keep my white gel pens in working condition? Or, does anyone have any ideas how to get perfectly full gel pens writing again? I'm so tired of buying them, only to have them stop writing. I have 3 that are practically new!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Suck! I know it sounds a bit gross but it usually works (stick with non-toxic gel pens though, don't do it with any markers that have a chemical kind of smell). You're not actually sucking ink out so you're not going to get it in your mouth, I think it basically evens out the pressure in the barrel or something.
I had the same problems with pens of other brands until I bought the Signo white pen. I found a place online and ordered a whole box of them because they work so well.

Try heating some water in a cup, not boiling just hot and then place the pen in the hot water tip down, sometimes it can help get the gel loose and flowing again. I've tried it in the past and sometimes it works, sometimes not, I think it depends on how old and dry the ink is but it's worth a try.
HTH
Not to hijack- but how do you get the ink from the signo to dry? I used it 5 days ago on black paper, and when I stacked the cards, the ink got on the back of the card ontop of it...
I have 3 different pens. I worked for about 1/2 hour yesterday and got one to partially write. I'll try the water in the cup. I'm just tired of buying them over and over again. I read the "sticky" thread, but most people were recommending the brand. I have the uni-ball and 2 others. I think the uni-ball was the one I got to write yesterday. Unfortunately, it also has the least amount of ink in it.
I don't know about the sucking part LMAOOOOO...if someone saw me, I'd have a lot of explaining to do LMAOOOOOOOO
The paint pens are just that... paint. Sometimes, you can take something sharp, a knife with a sharp point and actually declog the tip with the point of the knife. I've found that when I scrape off the hard coating, it helps... THEN use the hot water trick or blowing/sucking once the opening is unclogged.
I'm glad you posted this question. I just threw out several white gel pens that had dried up with plenty of ink still in them. Next time I will soak them or just buy a Signo!
I highly recommend the Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze pen....don't waste your money on any other type or brand.
The Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pen is the BEST too.

I read somewhere awhile back to clean the gel pen tip with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball...it rejuvenated my signo pens beautifully! I have to redo it when it's been awhile between pen uses. Easy and clean!
