I'm looking for a comparable white CS to Whisper White. I have the Walmart stuff, but I know there are better brands of CS out there and I've seen threads on this subject, but I can't find them... Can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thanks for your help!!
I love PTI white for card bases; it's so much heavier than SU Whisper WHite; Ellen Hutson also sells a nice white but the name escapes me; I still use the Walmart stuff sometimes for stamping on and layering;

I have nothing to do with this company, but I have purchased paper from marcospaper.com and have been very happy with what I bought and with the people. Very pleasant and helpful on the phone.They have a cardstock sampler book with 4"x5" samples of papers and what I like about that is that you can try a technique to see how it works on a particular paper. I have forgotten what they charge for the sampler, but I think it is worth it. They have some papers single, or 50, or 250. I ordered the Beckett Expression Cover 80# and like it compared to SU, but I don't do anything exceptional, so you might want to try it before ordering.

Just wanted to let you know it's www.marcopaper.com
instead of marcos. I love them and use them for most of my cs. Beckett Expressions is really good, but I use Cougar 80# Opaque White. Their prices haven't gone up much from eight years ago & the people are really nice. I also recommend the sample book. I just turn the pages over & use them for card fronts.

I use Office Depot 110lb card stock. 250 sheets 81/2x11 to a pack. This may seem like too much paper. A carder friend and I split the pack.D It is good for a base to layer on and doesn't bleed when stamping.
Thanks for the correction. I had the sample pack in front of me, and still typed it incorrectly.

I get mine at "If It's Paper". This store is like a Party store with all kinds of paper products. Works for me. The also have Ivory. It comes in a Linen Texture as well.
The paper from Ellen Hutson is probably Neenah Classic Crest. I like it pretty well. I think it is recommended for Copics.
I have purchased the 110 lb. Georgia Pacific at Wal-Mart but ink does not dry as well, and the lines are not quite as crisp as they would be on SU/Papertrey/Neenah. It is because of the clay coating.
I bought Neenah Classic Crest at Xpedx for $30 for 250 sheets, but do not really like it. I scored it with Scor-Pal and it actually frays at the score fold. I tried Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol and it rolls up and sheds. Is there a secret that makes you like this product? I bought both Solar White and a cream color and I am going to try to return the unopened one. I can use it for mats, but not for the base card or any kind of coloring that involves liquid. I will probably list most of it on the Buy/Sell/Trade SCS.

Which weight did you purchase? Was it cover weight?
I just purchased 80 lb. cover weight Neenah White Classic Crest last week and love it! It's not as heavy as PTI's white but very close. It doesn't roll up or shed when I use my PrismaPencils and Gamsol. I even use SU! watercolor crayons with this and it works beautifully.
I bought 80#. I will try again, but I tried several combinations today and was just not satisfied. I am just learning to color (water and gamsol) I bought Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol yesterday, as well. I hope I can make it work. 250 sheets is a lot of paper for me.

Shannon -- did I read that right? Do they really charge you $6.99 for 12 sheets of Neenah? Holy cow --- that is way more than I pay. Try to find an Xpedx near you-- or even order online.. It would have to be cheaper than that. I paid $24.00 for a ream - 250 sheets.

I just bought the 80# for $32 for 250sheets at Expedx today, but it was the 80#. The 110# was around $60, but I just went on line at Expedx and it lists there for around 36 for 250 of 110#, but I don't know how much shipping would be. I didn't get that far because there is an Expedx just a couple miles from where my daughter lives and I am there quite often.
The link that you provided says that the Neenah is great for Copics for any other yada, yada, yado...so I am going to try using it again tomorrow and see if I have any better luck.

If you want something that is really smooth like whisper white, you have to look for the Super Smooth finish. I love Neenah papers, but I just bought Coronado SST Cover (made by Fox River) in Super Smooth Infinite White. I've just started to use it, and it's good stuff.
