My favourite was a Joann's Essentials white pigment pad but I noticed the last time I was in the States, they didn't have them anymore---booo!!! I might have to find the Ranger one and give it a try. I usually just use white embossing powder when I want a white image now.
I love love love the Studio G white ink. I've tried a lot of the other expensive ones and ended up throwing them in the trash or giving them away because the don't perform nearly as well as the little cheap Studio G ink cubes. The Studio G works perfectly with clear stamps too. For the price, it was worth the risk, and it paid off.
I did a product review on the Studio G inks quite a while ago. I have pictures of how the white ink looks on black card stock if you're interested in taking a peek. You can see them here: http://www.catscrapfever.blogspot.ca...ct-review
It depends what I'm stamping on: for acetate and glossy black paper, it's gotta be white StazOn, but I like SU's white craft for stamping on dark cardstock. For white-on-white, I like the Colorbox even though it has to be heat-set if you don't want to wait for it to dry. My favorite shimmery white ink is Brilliance Moonlight White: it looks amazing on SU's shimmery white cardstock when embossed with Fine Detail clear embossing powder.
Add me to the Studio G white ink pad fan club. I love it.
I also mix white goauche paint & glycerin together for a pretty white ink pad. I think I might have spelled goauche wrong. Forgive me if I did. I have a fever in hundred plus degree weather so spelling is not my strong suit today. My spell checker never knows what I am talking about when it comes to art supplies.
I am really liking the Donna Salazar's Mix'd Media Inx (made by Clearsnap).....Jasmine is the name of the white pad. It dries fairly fast but isn't too goopy! I have almost all of the colors in that line and just love them!
I've been using (and loving) Close to My Heart White Daisy pigment ink for quite awhile, mostly because others I've tried were so disappointing. I think I may have to test the Studio G, though...

I didnt think the SU! was very good.

Hey guys, Just wanted to thank those who suggested the Colorbox Frost White pad. I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday and picked one up. Used a 40% off coupon making it only $3.59. I love it! It takes a bit to dry, but it is very opaque and stamps wonderfully! I am one happy stamper!
I am a fan of the Studio G also, but I ran out and couldn't get my hands on any more of it. I tried the Stazon Opaque Cotton White and it was awful. I couldn't get a good image to show up. I finally tried reinking it with the refill that came in the package and I got one good stamp out of it before it wouldn't show up again. I decided I wasn't going to waste my money buying refills all the time. I'm thinking about trying out the SU! Whisper White but haven't placed the order yet.

After trying quite a few different white inks, all of which came highly recommended, I finally found the one that works best for me – the Hero Hues (chalk) white, which I believe is called Snow. I wish you success in your mission!
