You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
What consumables are you constantly using up and buying more of?
What can you never seem to keep "in stock" in your craft room- besides your basic adhesive and blades? I am talking papers, embellies, disposable tools, inks, etc. Seems we hoard and buy and continue to buy so much that we never use, it would be nice to hear about what we actually USE!
Mine are:
fine detail clear embossing powder- Ranger
Stickles- mostly crystal, diamond, and frosted lace.
self stick pearls and gems- mostly Hero Arts, but use others too.
All Night Media pop-dots
white acrylic paint
Ultra-clean stamp cleaner
White, cream, black, and kraft cardstock- I use Gina K, Georgia Pacific, Bazzill, and for the cream, I like the 12X12 they have at Michaels-it has little flecks in it.
foam brushes
The Clearsnap white foam blending tools that snap onto the handle-in the oval shape.
My big thing is CS from PTI. I received my order or Pure Poppy on Friday and I have already gone through have of a 50 sheet package, I am waiting until the 15th before odering more from them so I can get the new color that is coming out. I also go through alot of the Hot Fix rhinestones. Plus all the ATG tape that I can go through. At least I can tell DH that I am using up what I order.
Uhhh....wow OP, that's quite an impressive list of stuff to "use up" LOL~
For me, I guess it's only a few things....
White and Cream PTI cardstock
PTI envelopes
Dimensionals
gold and silver metallic cardstock
stampin mist
Black and Chocolate Chip cardstock
Scor Tape
Glue Dots
Oh yeah, I did have to order refills for my Copic colorless blender and E31.
I go through a lot of cutting blades for my paper cutter. I have the fiskars one that SU sells and I use it all the time. I am really picky about getting a clean cut so I'm constantly changing the blade on it. I'm constantly buying the refill blades when I'm out at a craft store. At least they're fairly cheap when I through them in with my other purchases.
Chocolate Chip card stock (seems like I'm always reaching for that in the textured!), Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain (dyeing with reinkers is my new favorite technique!), SU! dimensionals (prefer the hexagonal shape and the fact that they're thinner), and silver mini brads.

Chocolate Chip, White and Close to Cocoa cardstock, envelopes, dimensionals and brown eyelets, buttons & brads. I also go through a lot of twine and kraft cardstock. And stamp cleaner. So much so on the cleaner, that I started making my own.

For me, it's colored text weight paper from Paper Source. I use it to make my own envelopes. I put a lot of time into my cards so I like nice envys to match. Glad you mentioned this as I'm way over-due for a trip
How sad is it that I have never run out of anything but red cardstock???
I have a huge stash/supply of everything. I think I bought everything made twice. I reorganized in September and I was so embarrassed at what I had. I have even sent boxes full (10#) to people on this site who had start up programs for charity. And, I could still send 5 more!
Tops has to be dimensionals and glue dots... although I can't say I run out of them all the time because I am so afraid of running out that I keep a reasonable supply on hand!!
My next keep-extra-on-hand-so-I-never-go-without item is going to be a white gel pen (or several). I had two and used them interchangeably and now of course they are both dry. Not good.
Hmmm, im starting to think I need to make more cards so far Ive used up,
Xacto Blades (when i was in college this one guy always had such neat work, i learned that he changed blades constantly)
Blades for my paper trimmer
Sakura Quickie Glue pen
Gelly Roll Stardust clear glitter pens
Prisma white colored pencil and clear blender (i use those for crafts and fine art)
dimensionals
white envelopes
silver brads
real red cardstock
bashful blue cardstock
stamp cleaner
natural hemp twine (use it in scrapbooking a lot)
blender pens

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phillippians 4:13
Bazzill brown and raven (black) cardstock
pop dots--especially the black ones
mini Glue Dots
metallic brads (especially black, silver and copper)
any kind of DP with a vintage travel theme
black and brown ribbons (notice a theme here? LOL!)
ivory ribbon
And I always try to keep plenty of adhesive and new blades for my trimmer on hand.
Did you say "use up"????? I thought we were suppose to collect stuff. I am confused.
I just spewed coffee all over my monitor!!! LOL That is soooo me! I always thought the person with the most stuff "wins"! I have been working so hard at being the winner!!!
Always artichoke CS, dimensionals, self-stick pearls & gems, stamp cleaner, and paper snip scissors. I have had to replace mine several times! Weird, huh? ;)

I loved it, Barb! I often found (find!) myself so busy collecting that I forgot to use the cool stuff. A year ago we thought we'd sell our house, so I began packing up stuff. Since I'm a Stampin' Up! demo, I kept all of that but packed up the rest. I can actually say this--I don't miss it!
I am also trying to blog every day. That has really helped me use my stuff!
Now I've agreed to be the Hospitality Committee for a group at work--part of the job is getting cards such as Sympathy ones. I knew it would keep me going, too.
OK, I do admit it, though--I am now collecting all of the SU! stuff I can. No chance of catching up--they just sell more. sigh...
And stamp cleaner. So much so on the cleaner, that I started making my own.
I started making my own stamp cleaner because SU! changed their formula a few years ago and the new stuff smelled just like a scented feminine hygiene product!

Cardstock,
blades for my knife - stick them onto every order I place
glue ( I use a hi-tack PVA for almost everything)
foam tape
I've only had to replace one Stickles so far, but running low on another.
Have a lot of Sakura pens, clear Stardust and red and white Glaze are the only ones that have run out so far.

I'm with you! I've bought so much stuff over the years, that I could not buy another item, and still have enough supplies for cards to last me...except maybe for glue dots, envelopes, and my ATG adhesive.....hee hee hee. I share stuff all the time with friends and I have plenty for me. I just love this hobby!!!
That is so funny! How do you make your cleaner? I just always buy the feminine product smelling alternative.
It's a recipe I found on SCS not long after the formula change. It's basically just 2T baby bath soap (I use Huggies sensitive skin formula -- figure if it's safe for a sensitive baby it's safe for my rubber stamps), 2T glycerin, and 8 oz distilled water. I add a few drops of a lovely rose-scented soap fragrance that I found at Hobby Lobby, and it smells just like the old Stampin' Mist that I loved so much!

I couldn't have put it better myself! I'm with you on this one GF! After spending all that money on everything, why in the world would you want to use it all up, right? LOL
Honestly though, I wish I could/would use up my stuff. I have so much stuff and so little creativity.
white and cream cardstock (PTI baby), Clear embossing powder, white and black satin ribbon, foam tape/pop dots, clear sticky dots and ATG Gun adhesive! How did I ever get by with a normal tape runner?
