I used E6000 to hold the center together, but I attached buttons, etc. with Crystal Effects. I read a tutorial that said to use E6000 for the middle, so I just went with that and haven't ever tried anything else.
I did a bunch of these for convention last week with a 2 layers of card stock on each side with our tag punches and held them in place with dimensionals and a ribbon thru the top that caught the paperclip top to hold it in place. (Yeah, I know, sounds confusing, but for me the dimensionals worked great!)

I don't know where to get them in bulk but I also use E600 in the middle. The other layers are either glue dots, mono multi, or crystal effects depending on what's attaching to what.

Wally World has them in the office supply section - 15 clips in a clear box for 99 cents ! They also carry them in disposable plastic/cardboard containers, but but the clear boxes and decorate them!!
I used CE for the first few I made and my hubby's popped off. The others I made with CE aren't really being used. I've since repaired hubby's with E6000 and haven't had any problems since.

Does the E6000 have a really strong scent? I get migraines from heavy duty smelling glues, and don't want to buy a tube if its going to cause problems. I was so hoping to use the Crystal Effects, but had a feeling it might not completely hold!

It has a smell, but I don't remember it being too overwhelming. It's been awhile since I used it. I get migraines, too, and it didn't bother me. HTH!
Are they in most Walmarts? I ask b/c I looked once and my husband looked while we were in Denver and neither of us found them at the 2 we've searched. Just wondering if it's common to actually find them there.
I think so. There are usually back by the office/school supply section. (not the temp. one for this time of year) I hope you can find them. I found my in a bin in a lower section and had to do a little digging and looking.

Thanks, guess I know where the kids and I will be going tomorrow:mrgreen:
Click hereto see some that I made. I Mod Podge'd patterned paper to chipboard coasters, then cut the shapes using my Cuttlebug. Once all the shapes were cut out, I lined them up on paper and sprayed them with a clear acrylic sealer. I used E6000 to clue them together on the paperclips. They are holding up very well. I gave one to my demo and she uses it at workshops to hold together everyone's order.
I have purchased E6000 at AC Moore and Michael's. The paperclips were purchased at Wal-Mart in the Office Supply section ... 15 for 97.
My Wal mart doesn't seem to carry the large paperclips. :(
Yes they do!!! I found them this morning at ours!!! Can you tell I'm excited?? I had been looking for them to be hanging up w/ the other clips, etc., but they were on a shelf. First I saw the ones someone had mentioned being packaged in a non-reusable manner, but under those were the ones in a plastic container - and they served the double purpose of child entertainment - each child carried a container and shook them to make music   We were the popular family in Walmart this morning - LOL. BTW, they are a Wal-mart brand (can't remember what it's called) so they probably do have them at most stores.
TFS they are so cute. Love them!! Thanks also for the info.

(Can't wait until school starts, less the a week. I can get more crafting done then, oh wait maybe not the 1 year old twins will still be here LOL You do what you can)

Ok another couple of questions. I have seen many using chipboard and thier cut cuttle bug (hope I sp that right) Has anyone tried just cardstock or is it too flimsy. How about using the scalloped punch instead, or is it too big? Just a few things I have been tossing around, but I don't have my punch yet to try it out. Still waiting.
I have used my cuttlebug and my chipboard from SU! I think that the cardstock will be too flimsy, but I haven't tried it. Maybe use the cardboard that comes in the DP and punch that with your punch. It will be a little bit sturdier.
