Question Washi tape DYI

Hi all!

I cannot for the lie of me remember where I saw it, might have been on one year for the DTGD Challenges... it was to make your own using what looks like the type of tape you use to hold gauze on... or maybe some type of white shipping tape?

Please help me find it.. or one?

Sabrina (Cook22) hosted a tape challenge back in February 2016. It contains links to ways to use several types of tape, as well as to a tutorial in the SCS resources section for DIY washi using PostIt tape.

Sabrina's challenge is here: WT569 ~ Tape It Up ~ {02/04/2016} by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampersand

the tutorial is here: Faux Washi Tape Tutorial - Splitcoaststampers

I also did a Google search and came up with lots of hits: https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylc...p=mss&ei=UTF-8

Some people were talking about using paper medical tape for diy washi tape so I bought some at the dollar store. It is indeed very low tack but seems to stay put and takes ink well.

I am using used dryer sheets to create washi tape w/texture. I load up my gelli plate with desired colors then lay the used dryer sheets over the plate and brayer the sheets down. They absorb the paint beautifully and dry quickly. I add double sided tape strips to the back and cut them apart to use on my journal pages, cards and other projects.

I bet micropore medical tape would work, too: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0052ELW42

What I've used that looks closest to washi is tissue paper. I adhere it to a sheet of double-sided adhesive. I then cut strips and stamp them, or I stamp the sheet and cut it into strips - depends on how much of the same design I want and/or and how easy it is to repeatedly line the stamp up.
