Wink Want to buy nestabilities -- where to start?

First I have a cuttlebug, and love it -- is everyone having good luck with CB and nesties.

Which ones should I buy first?

Regardless of which set you choose, I would recommend going to ucut@home and signing up for their VIP coupon. With it you can buy an entire set (like all the scallopped squares) for like $48 + shipping. Now, you can only do one per month, but it's go to be the most reasonable deal around. As far as which to choose, think about the types of cards you do most. I think I use either rectangles or ovals the most but they're all great.

I second that advice. I also started with the ovals and rectangles. They're great and work great with the Cuttlebug.

Just a warning - Spellbinders (Nestabilities manuf.) did not anticipate the demand for them. If you order from Cut@Home, they are not restocking umtil mid-March. Worth the wait though!!

Thanks for the reminder about ucutahome! I signed up for the VIP coupons a couple weeks ago, but completely forgot about them. I've been shopping online for Nestabilities but now I'm glad I decided to wait! I just placed my order,

Remember to order the tan embossing mat when using the nests with machines other than the Wizard! It really isn't that expensive and lasts forever! If you want to be able to use the emboss feature of the dies, you'll need it!

Could you clarify what exactly what that is??? Is it the 12 by 12 inch tan polymer sheet??? And if so, do you just cut it to size for your cuttlebug??? I looked on a spellbinder website, and was not quite certain what you meant by the tan embossing mat - is it what I described above?

Thanks in advance!

The tan polymer pad comes in two sizes. 12x12 for custom cutting or a package of two that are 4x6 each. Here is a link to Ellen Hutson's site, she has them both listed and it's easy to compare because they are on the same page.

http://www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/C...%3AAccessories

Some people like to get the 12x12 and custom cut the mats for embossing brass stencils. If you cut the mat approx 1/8" smaller than the brass stencil you won't get the window effect that you get using a larger mat.

If you are only using them to emboss Spellbinders dies, I'd recommend the smaller size, split a package with a friend if you want!
