Is it possible to get white ink cartridges for your printer? I am making programs for my neighbors wedding THIS Saturday and she wants white ink if we can do it. I will need to get it at a local store.
TIA,
Cindy
I've never seen or heard of white ink cartridges, but you can certainly print in white by changing the font color to white. You won't be able to see it on your document, but it will print out in white. I have done this many times on dark paper, with wonderful results.
There was a type of printer back in the day that used a wax-base type cartridge for printing white on dark. I don't think they make those anymore, though, and they don't make white inkjet cartridges.
I've never used an inkjet printer that could print white on dark paper - the printers I've used make white by not putting down any ink at all. I've been able to get around that by using white paper and printing white letters surrounded by colored ink, but you wouldn't want to do that on wedding programs - you'd use up A LOT of ink.

LOL I started down that road of thinking and then imediatly came to my senses! Ya too much ink and I am low as it is...
I just tried the 255 thing and, no, it didn't work. Guess I will have to tell her no go on the white ink...
The other thing you could try is to sprinkle white embossing powder on the text right after it comes out of the printer, then heat emboss it. I know some inks will stay wet for just long enough (especially if you set the printing to put lots of ink on)
If you change the fill (the paint bucket) to a color and use white for the ink, it will work. But in this case you will have a wide band of whatever color you set the fill. It can be included above and below the line of type. Actually, it doesn't print white, but clear. I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it must be good for something. Good luck!
"The print process, whether digital (laser or ink-jet) or offset (professional printing press), uses four basic ink colors which combine to create all the colors you see in an image. The most common process is called 4-color or CMyK printing which uses Cyan, Magenta, yellow and Black ink. In rare cases a home printer may use three colors known as RgB (Red, green, Blue). Digital or home printers do not print white ink. If you are hav- ing your design printed by a professional printer on an offset press you may select an ink color, however white ink is not common. In order to get white type on a home printer you need to print on white paper and reverse the type out of a color. For instance, to create white type on a black background you would need to print a black box on a white sheet of paper and make your text white. The ink will only fill in the black areas leaving you with white type. Further, if you did the same thing only on yellow paper, your type would be yellow, and so on."
