Default Unclogging the Zig chisel tip glue pen

I love using the Zig 2 Way glue pens, both the fine tip and the chisel tip. However, two of my chisel tip pens have clogged, even though there is a lot of glue still left in the barrel.

I have tried soaking the tip and removing the dried glue but still can't get the glue to dispense. Does anyone know how the chisel tip actually works, and if there is something else I can do to access the glue? Thanks
Karen

I wish I had an answer for you as I have the same problem.

When that happens, I pull out the tips and pour the glue into my Zig glue pen (with the ballpoint tip), which is refillable. I have a few glue markers that I haven't even unwrapped yet, but I won't be buying them anymore. They clog up too quickly.

I was thinking I'd try that too, so glad to hear it's possible. I prefer the ballpoint tip anyway, but didn't know if that can be refilled. Will have to take a look at it and see how the ballpoint tip comes off. Thanks!

Hi Scrapjanny,

I just tried unscrewing the tops to my Zig fine point glue pen, and to the Martha Stewart ballpoint tip blue pen as well but can't seem to get the top off. I can see threads, so it should work, but they aren't budging. Do you have any tips, in case I'm going about it wrong? Thanks.

Unscrew them clockwise (backwards). They unscrew the same way the water brushes do. Clockwise to open, and counterclockwise to close.

Thanks..that worked! I thought I was unscrewing it both directions, but apparently I kept going in the same directiion...ugh. I couldn't manage to get any of the glue transferred, but I did take the whole thing apart and clean out all the dried out gunky glue from the barrel, so this should help..or even take care of it completely.

Glad it helped! I hope the cleaning works. I know how frustrating it can be for something to stop working before you've gotten your money's worth.
