Default UM Storage Preferences

I'm having to make a big move in with my stamping stuff in my house. I'm going from having a room, to sharing the dining room. I plan to unmount my SU sets due to this storage problem.

My question is: how do you prefer to store your UM's?

1. CD jewels
2. Binders
3. Other (describe)

I realize this choice is individual preference, but I was hoping I could learn from someone else's mistakes, etc. If I store them in jewels, will backgrounds fit? Or, should I keep those mounted? I understand that alpha sets, and large sets, will take 2+ jewels. I'd be fine with this, if most people feel this is usually the best storage option.

Thanks for your opinions!

I use the Stamp n Stor panels and keep them in binders for my rubber.

For the clear stamps, I keep them on the clear panels they come on in a lunch box type tin.

I use CD cases that fit into a CD holder. This works for smaller stamps. I never mount my SU background stamps. These just get stacked in a small drawer.

I store my UM's in a CD jewel case. Background stamps do get mounted onto a wood block.

I use my BG's mounted so I can stand on then.

All of my other hundreds of sets are unmounted!

I use 6 x 9 catalog envelopes sealed, cut in half and I use the lids and bottoms of the clam shell boxes for storage sheets to keep the stamps on and slip them into the envelopes. I keep them in alphabetical order in snap boxes from Cropper Hopper and Oriential Trading.

Everything's unmounted, and sets are stored in CD cases.

I use the CD cases. I had a binder and some sheets but simply did not like it because the notebook I had them in would not close right. I like the CD cases better. I am still in my unmounting project but I am starting to see the end.

CD cases!!!! I have re-mounted most of my stamps with ez-mount and then store them in cd cases and I found a great cd storage shelf at ikea (actually bought 2 because they can be hung one above the other--and you could add more) Takes up ALOT less room. I then make copies of the labels and put them in the case so I know what goes in it. The spines are labeled with a ptouch so I can easily find what I need. I store them in alphabetical order.

I store my SU sets in CD cases which so far I have done about 300+ sets I am a little over half done. - I store my individual stamps on Acrylic pages from stamp and go. And then I keep those in binders. The binders i get are 1 1/2 inch which hold about 8 pages. I love my hot knife for EZ mount it goes by so fast unmounting stamps.
