Default Total Lemmings purchase--convince me I'm right!

OK, after checking out all the debates here about Cuttlebugs, Sissix's, Cricuts, etc, I took the plunge and bought a Cuttlebug at Hobby Lobby today. I took my 40% off coupons, but they were on sale for 30% off anyway. ($79.99 b/4 the discount--Joann's had them for $89.99 and NO sale) I got 3 folders too, but no swiss dots, they haven't gotten them at my HL yet, but I saw some on ebay that are very reasonable.

SO, will I get my $$'s worth? I can't wait to try it out! One of my folders was on clearance, so that helped push me over the edge. I don't scrapbook--cards only, so I didn't think I needed a cutting machine.

I can't wait to start checking out the techniques threads! OH! I bought a stampamajig at Michaels, I thought they were a SU exclusive, but I guess not =)

I love mine. I think it has helped me make more finished cards. You will LOVE it. I use it mostly for embossing and it is so much fun.

I would say definitely get the swiss dots folder. It has quickly become my favorite and I use it all the time!

I reach for my cuttlebug every time I make a card... and of course I'm in love with my Nestibilities too! Once you get the 'bug, you of course "need" some nesties! ;)

I know NOTHING about nestabilities, right now I feel like I could do nothing but emboss with this machine and the honeymoon period will never end =)

A not-so-funny tee-hee: My sister scrapbooks and always asked why I didn't as well. My reply was always b/c I'm too cheap, no way was I spending all of that $$. Well, I'd have to hang my head in shame if she ever wanted to compare apples to apples between our hobbies at this point--there is no way getting addicted to Nesties will help me in this dept!! LOL

Ah, there'e nothing like the Cuttlebug Honeymoon! I'm so glad you got one.

I got mine around the lst of the year, and the honeymoon is not over yet! I still love mine.

If something happed to my cuttlebug, I would run right out and get another.
I have even considered getting another, just in case. When I have a 50% coupon, as I do right now, I am tempted to use it on another CB, that's how much I like it.

It has help me make my cards look so much more professional, and there are so many wonderful examples on SCS.

It's my favorite tool.

I own a Sizzix, a Zip e'Mate, a QuiKutz and a Wishblade.

And yet I bought the Cuttlebug simply because of the ability to emboss partially. (the other machines do not allow the folders to be turned in sideways...)

It is so worth it, IMHO.

Enjoy!

I use the folders in my original Sizzix machine and it works great. No need to buy the cuttlebug machine for me. I did just buy the Quickutz silhouette and love it! I needed a volleyball for a scrapbook page. Saved an image on my computer. Converted it to cut lines on my Silhouette program and voila! a great embellishment for my page. So cool!

The Cuttlebug is always out and ready to go in my room. I use it soooo much. Gotta love the simplicty for embossing and even cutting using their dies. Mine is a year old now and I still am not tired of the little thing. So easy to take to crops and stuff too. I cant wait for the new release embossing folders coming in June and July. I already have a few sets on order with the rep I use....Yummy...love the bug.

You will be so glad that you bought it. I bouht mine for scrapbooking and never got an embossing folder, then someone gave me one as a gift and I CANNOT stop makingcards with it. I love it so much and then when you see what you can do with it and the scorepal you will be blown away at how fun and elegant you can make things.

I have only had my Cuttlebug for about 2 weeks and have been using it every chance I get. I have been wondering why I waited so long to buy one. My only problem is that now I'm spending my money on embossing folders and dies - LOL.

Love my CuttleBug! I have the BigKick and the SideKick, but almost always the CB is my first choice.

I love the A2 Embossing floders and most of their dies. You can use the Spellbinders Nestibilities in the CB with such ease, I also use my QuickKutz in the CB too.

Basic all around machine for everyday use.
