Just wondering if there is a cloud embossing folder on the market anywhere? I'd love a folder with various sized clouds over the whole thing. I've never seen one (did see an impression plate from Taylored Expressions) but would rather have an embossing folder that's easier to use. If there isn't one out there, you'd think one of the companies would sure jump on it, as clouds are so popular right now! I just think it would be so fun to use a cloud folder to make scenes for cards with animal stamps or trees! Thanks for any help!

Have you tried cutting clouds out of chipboard or a few layers or cardstock and running it through with a rubber/silicone pad? It may not make as deep an impression as a folder, but maybe you could run it through a few times?
I agree with you. I would love to have an embossing folder with a cloud pattern. Maybe Cuttlebug is listening???
I checked out the Taylored Expressions cloud plate you mentioned, and it does look like a lot more trouble to use than a regular embossing folder. From the demo, it doesn't look like the impressions are very deep either.
I googled and found nothing like this available. I can't believe some company hasn't made a cloud folder. Listen up, you company guys.

This is my thinking exactly! I'm hoping one of the companies will listen!

I have e-mailed ProvoCraft about making a few folders... clouds, kites, woodgrain, etc. and I got a generic message back saying "Thanks for your input and they forwarded it along". Blah blah blah. LOL Clouds have been hot in the industry for well over a year and I'm really quite surprised there haven't been any new Cuttlebug folders with these designs. I'm too lazy to make my own, too. :P I did get a woodgrain folder at Hobby Lobby. It's made by The Paper Studio as seen here... Deprecated Browser Error

I hope they actually listen! I see clouds used all over in papercrafting and it seems like a given that there be a cloud embossing folder somewhere! I got that same woodgrain folder at Hobby Lobby and love it! So much more 'my style' than the Tim Holtz one (even though I love that one too!). Thanks so much for putting that bug in ProvoCrafts' ear, now hopefully they'll do something about it! Your kite idea sounds fabulous as well, seems like anything 'in the air' is really hot right now!

Making an embossing folder....this seems like so much work.
I am thinking "old school" with dry embossing. It would be so simpe to make my own stencil of the cloud shapes I want. All one needs is a light box, stylus and cereal box. Just cut cloud shapes out of a cereal box....place card stock over the shape and dry emboss...simple.
We all probably have the supplies already on hand!

I'm sure there are clouds on some Cricut cartridges. I was looking at some of my carts and there is one on 'Everday Paper Dolls', page 42. You could use the Cricut Cuttables Embossing Kit. Just make the clouds different sizes and flip them so they won't all be the same. I have never used this kit so don't know how hard it would be to make your own cloud embossing folder.
Agree with all the OP, surprised there isn't a cloud EF. Would be great to use with all the hot air balloon stamps and dies among other uses.
I found one!!!!!!!!! I was shopping at my favorite craft store today (Crafts Direct in St. Cloud, MN) and they had a cloud embossing folder, I could not believe it!! It's so cute, and the embossing folders were even on sale!! Yay!
Here's a link to the folder, I couldn't find it anywhere but on this uk website. It probably just came out, so it's not available everywhere yet.

Jessica,
I'm so glad you found what you were looking for. I've read good things about the Darice embossing folders, but have never seen them at any of my local stores. Have fun with your project.
