I have been trying to find a tan embossing mat so I can use my Nestabilities with my Cuttlebug but our HL and LSS never have any in. Is there an acceptable alternative that I can use?
If you have an A.C. Moore around you, they sell the Nestablities there and that's where I got mine.

Jeannie....You can use any kind of rubber mat for embossing with the Nestabilities. The rubber mat from the Sizzix Texturize Starter kit is what I use. You can also use a few thicknesses of craft foam, or a rubber gasket from the hardward store (I found it at Home Depot).
I would also think you can order the mat from Spellbinders.
Thanks everyone! I'm going to try the plumbing gasket...shouldn't have a problem finding that.
Don't be so sure. It is not always called plumber's gasket! I had to find the oldest guy* at the Menards (similar to Home Depot), explain what I thought it might look like (since I really didn't know), and he was able to find the product in the store.
*The young guys I asked first were clueless. They asked me, "What do you use it for?" I said, "Well I don't really know what it's ORIGINAL purpose is; I'm using it for a craft project." I got the strangest looks. LOL. Even the old guy gave me a strange look, but at least when I described what it might look like, he knew what I was talking about.
Anyway, the one I bought did not say plumber's gasket on the package, but said something like plumbing repair kit. The package had 2 pieces of orangish rubber about 6x6 inches square and about as thick as a rubber washer.
My husband bought me some Plumber's Gasket at Home Depot. I have the purple Sizzix mat for my Big Shot, but the Spellbinders dies were cutting it up; so I use the gasket, since it's so much cheaper. I think he paid 3 or 4 dollars for 2 mats.
Alright so I got a plumber's gasket, but now my question is, what thickness do I use? I have a 1/8 and a 1/16.

chickadee3357.......Try each one separately to see which one works best for you. It can't hurt anything to try each one. If one is too thick, then try the other. There is always a bit of trial and error with something new.
I, too, bought the plumber's gasket at Lowe's. A package of 2 called "Plumber's Pack". You can get the 1/8" or 1/16" - I got both thicknesses and use both for different thickness of materials I'm cutting. I have the tan and black pads from Wizard also, and like the plumber's gasket better. It's wider (fits the CB exactly) plus it's much cheaper. Plus I bought extra and cut them up in order to emboss only certain areas of my cards. Here is a link to Sue Nelson's site with a tutorial on how to do this: http://www.heartprints.net/gallery/CBUG/
Sue is a wonderful inspiration with her gallery of CB cards.

Ritzcamera.com has a scrapbook section called scrapbookingaley.com- they have the 12X12 Spellbinders mat + the best prices on Nestabilities I have found so far....20% off for the month of October ...try them for really good prices on all kiinds of stuff! Marilyn
I had the purple sizzix one and had bought some black pieces at a scrapbook store in Branson, MO.. neither worked either seperately or together as well as the Spellbinders tan mats to. I got mine at Hobby Lobby using a coupon and am so glad that I got them, they work so much better.

The silicone baking mat is the same as my black one in thickness. YOu can cut four from the mat. I just got the extended mat from It's Cheaper Than Therapy for the long Spellbinders borderabilities. They are gorgeous. I can't wait to do the Wisteria.
