I don't have any yet, but I am sure they can be used in the cuttlebug with the proper sandwich. The Big Shot and cuttlebug work the same way, the big shot is just a bit bigger. There are "sandwich" threads on SCS where you should be able to find the exact layering needed.
I have used them in the CB. Well, not SU's "exclusive" ones, but the original Textures Plates. Way back when the CB was new, Ellison put these out, along with the Big Kick. You bought the Big Impressions Starter Kit (BISK) that included the two mats and some texture plates. Then Ellison and Sizzix merged, so now these are labeled Sizzix, but they are the same thing. SU has a package of exclusive SU designs Sizzix makes for them, plus a package of non-exclusive designs.
Whew! LOL, sorry for the history lesson! Anyway, the plates all fit through the CB just fine. Just don't expect the amazing definition you get from the Cuttlebug embossing folders....it's a different look, much less pronounced an effect than when using positive/negative plates like the folders are.

Reason: fixing typos
You should look on sizzix.com for texture plates. They had a great sale 1 1/2 weeks ago. I got both Halloween texture sets for next year for $1.60 ea. There are ones in them that can be used all year too. Also this past weekend sizzix had the set #4 texture plates on sale for $5.00. SU! is selling the same set for $9.95!! They have Christmas and other sets on there site too.
Every Tuesday Sizzix also does a Tuesdays Teasers with really great deals. You never know what's going to go on sale, so I check it every Tuesday, but I've gotten texturz plates on their Tuesday Teasers before for at least 50% the regular price, sometimes up to 70% off.
Be sure to use a soft pad to get a better impression with the Sizzix plates (and the Fiskars, too). As another poster said, the plates don't give as deep an impression as the CB folders, but they're larger and that's a plus.
I just posted this in the cuttlebug thread, but just as an FYI -
If you mist your CS with water before running it through the machine with the texture plates, the results are MUCH more pronounced! I used (in a cuttlebug) the following sandwich:
Plate A
Texture Plate
CS - Misted with quite a bit of water
Tan Embossing Pad - Wizard brand
Tan Embossing Pad - Wizard brand - Yes, I use two of them
Thin Chipboard Shim - from the back of a notepad
B Plate
The results were 'almost' as good as with the cuttlebug folders, and I was really surprised!!
HTH
I hate to be a rain cloud, but I have about 24 Fiskars texture plates and 8-10 Ellison/Sizzix plates. I'm not sure if anyone has thought about this, so I'm just throwing it out there. After having used the Cuttlebug folders, I have never looked back. The embossing plates only emboss a fraction of the depth that the CB folders do. Also, you often have to prep the paper by misting it with water. The impressions are just not that good once you have used embossing folders. I don't plan to buy a single one of the SU ones, because they will end up gathering dust like all my other embossing plates. Now, back to our regularly-scheduled programming . . .
As others have mentioned here, the texture plates don't yield the nice deep impression that the cuttlebug embossing folders do. However, they cover a larger surface, so that is something to consider.
The tip about the misting with water does make the impression better, but it does cause the paper to get warpy around the edges. To avoid this, spritz paper with mist of rubbing alcohol instead of water and do the impression immediately. I got this tip from someone here on SCS and it worked great. Not only did it solve the problem of the paper warping, the impression was more pronounced. Maybe someone else has another idea that will work even better!

I saw this kit today at Michael's and almost purchased it, but the plates looked wide and I didn't think they'd fit into the Cuttlebug. Darn ... I guess that means another trip to Michael's. ;)
