Has anyone purchased both the SU Real Red and Riding Hood Red ink pads? I am usually a HUGE SU fan, but I am a little put off. I stamped them next to each other and they are identical. I seriously cannot see a color difference. The paper looked so different, I thought the ink would follow suit. Has anyone had a similar/different experience? Also, what do you think of the Tangerine Tango?
I would really like to hear the answer as well, I am liking the Riding Hood Red but I don't want to buy a new ink pad when I can't keep getting the paper in time.
I just received my riding hood red on Wednesday. I did a quick stamp test to see the color that night and it looked like a deeper red than real red. Real red is much brighter to me. You should talk to your demo if you are not satisfied with the in-color.
I've had my RHR pad for a while now and I love it! I 'retired' my Real Red -- there is a definite difference between them, at least to me. The RHR is deeper. I am in the process of stockin up on the reinker now. lol
To me there is a big difference - real red is bright and riding hood red is much more subtle and subdued - perhaps you should contact your demo for a replacement and see if a different pad makes a difference?

Riding Hood Red is in stock and ships out immediately - there hasnt been a backorder issue with RHR as far as I am aware - its a beautiful holiday card color :-D
If your order now it would ship now - and with online ordering you dont have to wait on your demo to compile orders - you can order it through her demonstrator business website and get it shipped to you directly so you would have it fast :-)
WOW! I didn't realize they were so close. I just stamped the same image in both colors and either I got a bad one too or I just can't see it. The RHR is a slightly deeper red but like I said VERY close (at least to me).
I'll have to check mine out when I get home. You have me wondering now about mine. I could have sworn the RHR was darker (bought it on demo bundle preorder) but have not stamped them side by side to compare.

Mine are different...I actually don't like the real red, but do like the riding hood since it looks richer. The inks are more similar than the CS, but they are still different.
I didn't think I wanted the Tangerine Tango at all...but did a trade and ended up with some CS...now I think I need it! It's darker and richer looking than Pumpkin and I think it would be a great Orange to go with a lot of my rustic stuff.

I thought they would look different too. I see a VERY SLIGHT tinge of deepness in the RHR depending on the stamp I use, but its so slight it could be in my head. I think it should be a lot more different judging by the paper, such a huge color difference. Lots of you are saying there is an obvious difference in your two colors, so I think I may have a bad one. I thought the RHR would be more like the Ruby Red, which I don't have in the pad, so I thought this would be perfect. I think I'll try to send it back. I'd rather not order it online though, then I'll have paid for two. I'll have my rep see what she can do on Monday. Thanks so much everyone! Glad I am not the only one!
Weird, I find a big difference between real read and RHR, but to me it stamps exactly the same as Ruby Red ... I have them stamped side by side and you cannot tell the difference.
Since I got so many different answers, I called SU. They said that sometimes if the manufacturing process is off just a bit that can put the color off. I am going to have my rep do a return, esp since I have been looking forward to that color. Hopefully it comes back truer to the RHR! Laurie, sounds like you are in the same boat. Thanks for your help everyone! Have a great weekend.

Same here! I did a picture of all my reds, which photograph horribly.
We should have a 'guess which red' game across the top row. I think the CS is very different but any of 4 reds could pass for the same one layered with CS of any of the same 4.

Mine are significanly different; I had a problem with my Groovy Guava looking like really rust. Funny thing that after a couple of weeks the Groovy Guava changed and became the color it was supposed to be. I'd call your demo and get a replacement.

Hmmm had to test this out too. RHR is definately a little darker and richer than Ruby Red. And suprisingly to me RHR and Real Red are very close! I think real red my be just a little bit brighter. I still really like the RHR and the paper is just gorgeous! As I'm sitting here and it's drying the real red is looking a bit brighter. Oh well, still LOVE LOVE LOVE RHR. Thanks for the fun little experiment ladies:-)
Same here...there is definitely a difference between the two I have. I'm wondering if the same inkers may have been accidentally used for those who are saying they look the same. I hope the demos can take care of this for you guys.

As for me I just recently even opened my RHR and that inker hasn't been used. So that isn't the problem. I am going to ask a local friend to test hers. I probably would have never stamped them side by side so wouldn't have even noticed. One more thing, when just looking at the actually pads mine are very different in color. RR being really bright red and RHR really dark. But stamped just a slight difference.

That is very interesting, I just compared mine and they are different, Real Red is much lighter and brighter, Riding Hood red is deeper and reacher.

I don't think she meant that YOU had reinked it, but that SU had possibly used the same ink for both pads, by mistake.
