Default Stamp Sealer? I need help

Im making my wedding invitations, well I stamped the whole front with the stampin around love swirls... they have been drying for about a month. Today Im stamping on the back of them with another small stamp and the front is smearing on my hands!! What do I do? Is there a sealer that I need to buy to spray them with?
If I need it and you have it and are in northern middle Tennessee I need some " in a hurry" lol
Ive got 70 done and doggone it, Im not starting over. My fiancee built me a "jig" so that the lines were perfectly spaced and all the same. Took me FOREVER

Any suggestions?

You may email my regular email.

Default Sealer?

Read your post and I'm assuming you stamped your invitations on vellum. If so, what kind of ink did you use on it?

If you are stamping on vellum, I recently learned right here, from all the lovely ladies, that classic ink works fine on this, but you do need to let it dry about 5-10 minutes before working with it again.

I have heard, thought have not tried it, that craft pads do not dry on vellum. If that's what you've used, you may need to start over.

Please post a picture of your finished invite as I'd LOVE to see them! My daughter has a pretty serious boyfriend and I suspect I'll need to learn to make some invitations sometime in the next year or two, when they're far enough along with their college classes to tie the knot.

Hope everything turns out well for you!
Cindy

Default P.S. Forgot to add...

I didn't use a sealer on my vellum. I cased someone's sample from the Shapes & Shadows gallery, using the leaf stamp and another verse in the middle using creamy caramel classic ink, fyi. I'm sorry, I can't remember the person's name to credit, but it was a VERY pretty card.

check the kind of pad you are using. If it is pigment ink, it may never dry. Pigment is usually used with embossing powder and a heat gun. Do you have a heat gun? Try heating the ink to see if that helps. ot go get some silver embossing powder and emboss your images. HTH

Default wedding invitations

I really don't have any help on the subject othere than the heat gun idea. I think that might work.

I'm making my wedding invitations too and I'm from Middle Tennessee. I just wanted to send a little encouragement up north. I hope it turns out!

Yup, it may never dry if you're using pigment ink. I would recommend either clear or silver embossing powder.

If it's still a problem you *might* be able to pick up a clear acrylic spray and seal the front. Just don't do it too heavy or you will get a glossy look over the paper and if you bend the paper it will crack like glass. Just a really light coat should do it. It does need to dry at least 24 hours.

This is especially true on glossy cardstock. On dull paper it will dry very slowly.

IMHO the clear spray might be your best bet. Wal-Mart carries the clear acrylic spray that is made by "Plaid" company. It comes in either a matte or a glossy finish.
