Sizzix Big Shot Question

Hi,
Does anyone know if one of those little Sizzix Adapters is needed in the Sizzix Big Shot Machine in order to use Cuttlebug Dies?
I know the new Big Kick Machine comes with a platform that you just add sheets of to use different sizes of dies, but I didn't know if the Big Shot had anything like that.
Any help is appreciated!

No, you don't need the adaptors for the Cuttlebug dies. You do need the adaptors if you use the Quickutz dies.

Are the Cuttlebug Dies and Sizzlits Dies the same size? I've never used a Cuttlebug die.

The Cuttlebug dies are a little smaller, but just about the same thickness. You need the Multipurpose Platform to use the Sizzlits and Cuttlebug dies. I know my BigKick came with one, but I don't think the BigShot does. I'm not positive, though.

I have the Big Shot--you don't need anything for either the sizzlits or Cuttlebug dies, just the white platform it came with. Sizzlets are the same as Thin Cuts, BTW.

I did purchase the multipurpose platform so I can use my QuicKutz dies too. The Sizzix Adapters are for the original Sizzix machine, NOT the Big Shot.

Even though the Sizzix adapters were designed for the original Sizzix machine and not the Big Shot, I use them with my Big Shot when I use my Quickutz dies and it works perfectly

I didn't know that'd work--what a good idea since they are the same size as the 2x2 dies!
