I posted links to these the other day, but here they are again. I used the Cuttlebug dies in my Big Shot and they work so well! I am thrilled because I can't find the Big Shot dies locally, but both Joann's and Michael's are only 5 minutes from me and they both carry the Cuttlebug dies.

oooo, I'm subscribing to this thread too! I just bought a Cuttlebug and I have Sizzlits, Cuttlebug dies, and Sizzix Original dies that I'm just die-ing to use! LOL (pun intended ;) )
Nancy, the Cuttlebug is a new diecut machine - works like the Big Shot, you roll your dies through it between two cutting pads. BUT, the sides flip up so that it takes up less storage space. It is very versatile in that it takes all of your existing dies from other brands. Go to http://www.provocraft.com to see it! It's a cute little booger!
DANG! Forgot something else. Here's my favorite diecut card that I've made so far (haven't made very many! LOL) I used the Pocket die made for Big Shot's Tag-along.
I too want to jump on the band wagon, but I'm confused! I don't know which one to buy...the Cuttlebug or the Big Shot? My main objective is to use it for the embossing.Which one would any of you recommend?
And for those who are considering Sizzix, Big Shot, or Cuttlebug here are a couple cards that use Sizzix dies. Rather than a Sizzix, though, I'd go with the Big Shot or Cuttlebug because they're big enough to fit a card in them and you can cut windows. I have a Big Shot but wish I'd have known and waited for the Cuttlebug because the Cuttlebug folds up, takes up less space and is cuter. :-) I like the BS & CB because you can cut all kinds of materials whereas the Cricut (though very cool and I love it) is just for paper and CS.
The black card below was made when I first started stamping and is awfully plain but it shows a Sizzix round-top tag and layered ovals.
Thanks, Stamper-C! Maybe they'll come out with some bag die-cuts. I did see some new Cut-n-Fold dies at JoAnns and one was a purse. Don't know how big or dimensional it is but here's a pic if you're interested. It's about mid-way down on the page: http://busybeescrapbooking.com/Merch...Code=00cha0106

I just bought that cut, and for the life of me can't get the parts apart without tearing them. I think I'm going to go cross-eyed just trying to put it all together too! Jeepers he's tiny!
Your card is GREAT!!

Thanks Anna. That's high praise coming from you. Those Quickutz dies can be a pain to work with because they are so tiny and intricate, but that is also the reason that I like them. I definitely couldn't make them myself.
.....I can do that later but if u have the original Sizzix die cut machine...all those dies...including Cuttlebug w/work w/that machine. I have been buying a lot of Quickutz dies on Ebay & they work great on my Sizzix. Course it does take an adapter but a lot less money than buying a separate machine.
Guess I w/need to figure out how to add thumbnail when I do get the pic taken?

...but can you use the cuttlebug dies in the sidekick? (I've googled this and am getting many different answers...well, 2 answers but from many different sources...) Has anyone actually used the cuttlebug dies in a sidekick?

I have never used a die cut machine before, but just purchased a Cuttlebug (joann.com) and only got one embossing folder. From my limited experience, I really like it. It does very deep embossing, and I like the sturdiness of the 'bug. THe paper holders fold up for easier storage, and as you unfold them, it creates a suction that really holds to the table - have to refold these wings to move it. So it will not go anywhere while you turn the crank.
I got a bit of white core cs to try sanding, and I really like that effect.
I have a couple of examples in my gallery if you are interested in looking.

Thanks!
Cuttlebug has som dies sets that are 3' wide, and i don't know if they will fit in the sidekick. Exept from that the cuttlebug dies and the sizzlits dies have the same thickness. I tried to use one alpha sett from cuttlebug in my sidekick and that worked really well
Here's one I just did using my sizzix dies and I even cut the chipboard with the sizzix. I'm glad I found chipboard it's bring new life into my sizzix again, I scrapbook also. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Craftmut, your flakey friends card is so cute. I have those same sizzix trees and they haven't seen the light of day in years. I think I better get some chipboard and start using some of the many dies I haven't touched forever. Thanks for inspiring me.
Thought I had decided to get the Cuttle Bug with Joanns.com 50% coupon, BUT they are OUT OF STOCK, and may not re-stock them. Pooh!!! So, now I am reading this thread--maybe, just maybe-- I wasn't supposed to get a Cuttle Bug, and wait until Christmas, or even AFTER!!! But, really, I hadn't thought much about getting a die-cut machine until I read about the Cuttle Bug in another forum!!! Oh, my Oh, my Oh, my!!!
I have both the sizzix machine and the wizard. If I was buying a die cutter for the first time I would suggest the wizard (by Spellbinders) as it is a lot more versitile then some of the others - will cut any die from other machines - you can dry emboss any brass stencil, you can put the fiskars texture plates through it to get a nice texture on your card. You can smash bottle caps without waking people at midnight LOL and set eyelets to name just a few things.
I would also like to mention the cricut - this has lots of possiblities too and worth considering too - I am getting one for Christmas.
I have got a few cards in my gallery using sizzix dies mostly I think. Here are the links
Sizzix Wildcard frame squares this one is just using the frame from the wildcard sizzix die, I also used one of the bookplate dies for the greeting - I use these a lot.
Bees Picnic I used the picnic basket for this one and combined it with stamps to create a pop up card.
Bathtime
again combining with stamps - this is cut so the bath can be a folded card and can stand on its own.
Christmas Card - this one using the circles die ( has 4 different circles on the one die) Yes you could do with circle punches but because it is a sizzix die (the thicker ones) I was able to cut 4 circles at a time rather than 1 - which when making lots of cards for christmas etc was a big time saver.
Hope this gives you lots of ideas - I will always be a stamper, but I do love my die cuts too!
I love these cards - I'm afraid I'm hopelessly confused when trying to read directions - I want one of these machines but just **know** I will never figure out how to work it!
