Default Score Pal... what is it and why do I need it?

I'm getting ready to place a large order with TAC and see that I can get some items half price and the Score Pal is one of the recommended items to get for half price. So what is it and why do I need it? :p

Score Pal is a tool which helps you make perfectly scored cardstock. See their own forum here at SCS: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

In addition to making 3D things (like nugget boxes, baskets, boxes, etc) it helps with scoring things like gatefold cards, accordion cards and albums, and many other fun folds. You can also score things like backgrounds (Grids, stripes, criss cross etc.) I have been having a ball with mine. On their web page there are many many projects and instructions posted, and there are others on their member company page. Have fun looking; I'm loving mine!

Question

Newbie here - what is TAC?
Is it an online site for supplies? I googled TAC but didn't come up with anything pertinent.

Thanks for all the answers. Looks like I should get one. For sewnmachine.....TAC is The Angel Company. They have rubber stamps that are not clear but they mount on acrylic. They have a lot of inspirational stamps and some more religious ones than SU or CTMH, I think. And their prices are excellent. There is a double hostess benefits promo going on right now that works if you spend more than $100. There was a discussion on the promo in the past couple of days. Look for a topic about getting the Score Pal and Big Bite for half price.

I've made cards, scrapbook pages, and mini albums with my scor-pal. It gives nice crisp score lines and it is also easy to score multiple lines without the fuss of having to measure, mark, and and use a ruler and stylus to score.

Happy Stamping and Scrapping

YES YES YES you *NEED* a Scor-pal! ;) Besides all the other things mentioned, it is very light weight and takes up very little space. I keep mine standing up against my desk right by my feet - I use it for literally every single card/project I make!!! It has saved me so much time AND crooked score lines!

Like someone else mentioned, there is a Scor-pal forum here at SCS. And you'll find a thread with links to lots of Scor-pal projects. But here's what I have on my blogs if ya wanna skim through:

I really just bought the Scor-Pal because it seemed that so many people here on SCS saying great things about it and I ordered it, along with the Bind-it-All, as half-priced items from TAC.

Now I find myself using the Scor-Pal just about every time that I stamp. I use it for lots of things and it is very easy to store. Love it!

Here's another vote to get it! I bought mine a few months ago and worried whether or not I would use it enough to justify the expense. Most women here assured me I would, and they were right. I use it ALL the time!

I have a Scor-it, which is slightly different, but I would still highly recommend this tool! I use my SI on EVERY card. What other tool can I say that about???

I'm just here to confess my love of my Scor-Pal...I can say I was never able to fold a card to save my life with a bone folder, but with the Scor-Pal my cards have been perfectly creased and folded....I do go to the Scor-Pal website and they have sooooooo many more things you can do with the handy item.

I finally broke down and ordered the Scor-Pal! I ordered it from Scor-Pal because I didn't want to find a TAC demo and spend $100 on a party to get it for half price. Now let's see if all ya'll said it is. LOL
